Skadi being present, and a little non-essential set-up lore, are basically the only relation from an otherwise unrelated story. It does have 3 parts now with the new Ulpian event though.
@@caster269they red key thing Kal’tsit has was the treasure they got from Grani Event so there’s a little more setup than simply Skadi being there.. too subtle with it though
@@lokouba That’s what I meant by non-essential set-up. The epilogue with AUS and Kal fall into that as well. Yes it’s connected, but the story isn’t written with the assumption you have that information.

this kind of analysis, nitpicking the meters, harmonies, instrumentation is exactly the kind of reaction ive wanted to hear from arknights music! glad you enjoyed the under tides ost, and appreciate that you always go back 10 seconds to relive the moments you analyse.
others have suggested character songs (rightfully so, a lot of them are that good and lots of variety), but i hope you continue picking up in-game osts like this one. you might enjoy some of the more orchestral ones for example, like the Walk in the Dust boss battle or Stormwatch battle 2.
This music always gives me imagery of the ocean as a grand monarch who exudes dread, power and majesty considering how it can be both scary and beautiful at the same time.

I appreciate how your talk of the technical side of music provides more vocabulary to help understand and describe different aspects of songs that I can't quite put into words without a music background. I can't find any direct quote but I remember it being talked about that the vocals for this track were made to fit the idea of "what if fish had vocal cords and sang their own beautiful song" to fit the event's enemy faction of evolved sea life, and it's stuck with me just how well that works.
His terms are a bit too advanced for somebody with no musical knowledge like myself to understand without context, but these videos are still very entertaining regardless

Besides the actual game bgm that you heard in those 2 boss themes, arknights also has a lot of character songs.
Two of my favorites being "Eternal Flame" and "Stainless Heart" and I think you might enjoy both of them too.
For that event they made a song called "Voices" themed around Thalassophobia, and works really well.

I love the sort of ethereal singing in this track. Gives it the perfect otherworldly vibe for the theme of this event/story. Especially the parts that kick in at 5:50 and 7:24 in the video. 11:00 too.
Under tides was event where a team that called Abyssal Hunter fight against seaborn, so you can say that voice you hearing was the voice of sea creatures like siren etc

From arknights you can listen to Golden Age it comes from the same series of events of under tides. The same with Awaken wich is the character's song.
I also recommend others people said like lingering echoes, ensheath, thorns in you. I dont remember them all but arknights has a lot of music to hear.

First thing i felt when hearing this song was it's trying to image the "terror of the deep sea"
You aren't kidding about Arknights songs all being different genres. The game has a ton of story events based on the different countries in game based on the real world, each with their own unique theme to it. Guiding Ahead has church dubstep. Stultifera Navis has a sea shanty. Lingering Echoes has classical music. Who is Real has traditional chinese instruments. And it just goes on and on.

I would recommend the Stultifera Navis main theme (also from Arknights) next. It was written for the event that follows up this one.
The "voice" is supposed to represent Orca (killer whale), all the characters in the event this music is from are based on sea creatures like whale, orca, sharks etc.

Radiant
Rythm in Literature - kinda creepy, but very cool
Immutable - I really like it (feels very ambient)
Eternal Flame - (metal?/rock?)
Renegade - Pop/rap
CC Theme - All of them are awesome! (There's 12)
There's too many good ones, I'm having a hard time picking them 😅 There's all kinds of genres, metal, rap, orchestral, EDM, and there's a rapping penguin and his name is "The Emperor", that's the best part
The child-like voice is meant to respresent the girls. they appear very beautiful and fair, like siren. but a fierce warrior who, in this boss theme, raiding an alien boss. that's why the theme are so creepy and haunting hahaa. i wish next arknight theme is the martyr (guide ahead) theme because it's a rare to combine church song with Edm with 100 percent success rate
