"Well, looks like it works"... Rider still hits cable clamps and block doesn't return to start position...

It works?? No, it doesn't. She still hit the end of the cable and barely slowed down. Oh, and the wire rope clips on the bungee are just waiting to come loose and go flying...

No table saw and multiple passes needed. Simply skip that step, build block as instructed otherwise, drill hole down center, install.

Possibly a good idea. A couple of suggestions from a licensed and certified recreational rappeller and industrial Rope Access Technician, use dynamic rope and tie scaffold knots and you need a spring to retract the block. I did not see the block slow you down therefore it did not work. But! Did love seeing your effort to building it though. Oh! Also! If you used a truckers hitch, you wouldn't need a second hand to tighten the line.

Is there any online or Canadian training for commercial zipline installation and operation?

But the brake stayed fixed to the end of the zipline after you went down which means you have to replace it every time?? Surely it should spring back to its original position??

My guess is it needs more tension, or the stationary stopping point should be placed a bit further from the emergency arrest device (EAD) in the back.

Saddled a dead horse on the cable clamps AGAIN! Bolts and T-nuts wouldve been even better on that wooden block.

Congratulations on the video. My name is Germano. I'm from Brazil - Rio de Janeiro I need to build a zip line for the kids in my backyard. The distance between the wooden posts is 20 meters. What would be the height to be installed the steel cables so that children do not collide with the pole? Could inform me.

Hey Abby, you called for 1/2” bungee. I ordered it and it seems too thick for the cable clamps.

Good to go? Go where? I like seeing her have fun. But seeing her with power tools? I don’t know. She has to start some where though.

    Guys….
Just get the block and throw it away……
Get a few decompressed springs, and use that…much safer, and no need for extra shit.

You can't see what you're doing. Duuuude....... slow it down. Hold stuff up to the camera. This just isn't helpful.

  • @feliperomano5652

overkill...just use a single wood block and a half inch screwbit to pass through the steel cable (or rope)

Ya think you would of saved not only filming this video and lots of unnecessary time wasted with the two 2×4 brake and used a 4×4 I mean C'mon lady you knew ya was gonna need brakes so why not put them on the cable before attaching cable to the tree just my thoughts

Looks like the cable clamps stopped the block!!! So did it really work? Well I think they could have use a pulley instead of a block and she could have tied bowline knots instead of cable clamps on a rope. And maybe less slack on the rope! Good job accomplishing nothing after all that hard work!!!!

    • @Eddi3Pwns
      @Eddi3Pwns 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Agree, cable clamps I think are better suited for metal wire. Knotts are more than enough if done correctly.
