    If your employer requires you to wear safety toe, be advised that these shoes wouldn't be allowed. These are yet to be certified by OSHA.

    I bought the boot style but with the same basic features. I’m a carpenter so put them to the test through all the normal things carpenters do. Very comfortable and lightweight. The mesh fabric over the toes though, wore through after like a few days of wearing them. It seems like they could put a toe guard over these areas because they look crappy after just a week.

    I ordered a pair of these shoes 9-9-2020. The per the delivery company, SF Express, stopped delivery as, “2020-9-15 01:01:05 Customer hasn’t pay off related fees. We will follow up.” I presumed the customer was Indestructable Shoes as they chose SF Express as the delivery company. When I contacted Indestructable Shoes the response was “I’m sorry to hear you are being asked to pay import/custom charges. Please note these charges are being imposed by your country, not by us.” OK, however, any such charges were not disclosed in the order process, there was no notification that delivery was being held for these fees, it was only discovered when I began to research tracking to find a delivery date and time for this purchase made 9-9-2020. Has anyone else had their delivery of shoes from this company stopped for these fees? Did Indestructable Shoes not know of the Import/Custom charges when they agreed to sell them to me? Do all seller/manufacturers not include these in the purchase price? I know we are all paying the tariffs, duties, custom fees on every imported product, dah, they are not punishment to the other country, US consumers pay them, however I have never seen a consumer being asked to pay these fees separate from the purchase price. BTW no one has told me the amount owed. No party has told me what it takes to complete delivery. I no longer care. I have filed a complaint with PayPal and Indestructable Shoes for a refund, this could takes many weeks. These look like great shoes if one could get a total purchase price and a completed delivery.

    These are on Aliexpress for about $25 and an FYI for anyone that has to deal with OSHA or work sites that require work boots, these will not meet any of those requirements as they are not certified. If you want a more comfortable shoe for shop work these I think would be acceptable.

    I have these shoes (or atleast the amazon version) they are versatile and look good, but really aren't comfortable for running or working long shifts on your feet because of the steel toe. Kevlar is a material that when it's punctured the bullet that is spinning its way through the Kevlar, the Kevlar acts as if it's wrapping itself around the bullet to stop it from puncturing your skin. A bulletproof vest rated for 9mm will have 12 layers each once going in different directions in terms of their patterns. So that tiny little sheet on the inside of the shoe doesn't surprise me if a Q-Tip would stab right through it and into your foot.

    Got the Ryder green and loved them. Very comfortable and seemed well made. In wet weather they soak up water more than any other shoe I've worn and guarantee wet feet. To be fair indestructible don't claim these to be water resistant whatsoever. After 5 months light warehouse use the sole was punctured not by a nail but by a 14mm nut leaving a perfect nut shaped hole. Seems the sole gets more brittle over time. I was genuinely disappointed as they were so comfortable and I loved wearing them but £78 for a shoe that lasts 5 months is not worth it.

    They really are indeed great shoes and feel very strong. However, the company is really bad. First off, they are in China. That is not clear on the website unless you dig. So your shoes will take 3 weeks to get to you in the first place. Then, my shoes were about a half a size smaller then I ordered and the company is now refusing to send me new shoes unless I pay return shipping and a ridiculous restocking fee even though their shoes ran too big. So if by some miracle you are able to get the right size I imagine you will love them. Just hope that everything is ok because they do not stand behind their products at all.

The left shoe was poorly made & where the steel toe started I could feel a protrusion into my toe. Even though the item is clearly defective, they won't give me a full refund, making me pay restock fee. I feel I shouldn't have to pay for a manufacturing defect. Tried to get the company to waive the fee but no luck. Tells me they don't stand behind their product. I'm not buying anything from them again and will advise the same to everyone else I know.

  • @VT-ix5oh
    @VT-ix5oh 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just an fyi, a steel toe is meant for light to extreme 1 off protection. Dropping a hammer is great, but a 400 lb concrete barrier block for example, albeit rare , would crush your toes into mush, the steel to cap would at worse cut your toes off but protect them. There is no steel toe boot on the planet that would be usable after an incident like that. The odd shape of the toe cap after a 6 ft drop with a 26 lb weight is a traumatic accident in the real world. One off protection is what you would need. If the shoe or boot look damaged after such an event its because your foot is safe and you buy yourself another pair. You don't use a can of fix a flat twice.

    • @mattmcdonald7112
      @mattmcdonald7112 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was gonna say nah, so went and got my steel cap boots and dropped a 30 kg steel spike on them. You might be right but I didn't find any deformation past the leather, but I felt once the material had been dropped it would be foolish to test further until I get my new set of boots next month. Myth busters did some tests, varying results I'd say. Modern composites should take 6000lbs of rolling pressure, but most drops on toes either hit the foot outright or the head and kill the worker and falls and pressure are totally different scenarios. Interestingly as far as I can find there is only one case of the steel cap curl incident, but that could be lack of reporting. I feel steel caps have come on a bit since then, it would be cool to test, I think I'll do that when my shoes roll around their annual replacement.

    • @mattmcdonald7112
      @mattmcdonald7112 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also bear in mind, compared to my John bull composite boots (steel toe with some sort of shell inner, might have to cut them open one day and find out) , these are absolute cheap trash. As I said in my other comment, I dropped 30kg, 66lbs from about 5 feet and zero cap deformation. I mean these Ryders aren't up to modern standards.

    Why would you give it an A for the slip test? Because it became less slippery when wet? so does your bear foot. No one purposefully steps on nails, they step on a wood plank with a nail poking out of it and this shoe is not puncture proof. There is no truth in their name or advertising. A typical work boot outperforms these and can be bought at a lower price.

    Don't purchase those shoes. I made that mistake and they are so uncomfortable. I can't get my money back because they do not have customer service.

    • @dtester
      @dtester 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Indestructible is just doing a lazy rebranding of shoes made by a Chinese OEM called "Shandong Gaomi Jubang Shoes" If you see similar cheaper shoes on Amazon, then they probably are the same shoe.
