I found out when I was playing Toga, I was fighting a Level 5 Beta Ochaco and stole her Blue cards in front of her, then I thought "nah I can still get her with Beta" and then found myself with an entire Honda Civic LOL
As an ochako main I’m so glad this happened because I fell like when you got your beta to 8 it was impossible to find a rainbow card or gold chest or maybe just my luck
You'd think so but it seems that you can hear them at full volume across the map. If you can see them, that's different, but you can probably see the fighting at that point too.
They did but they say it as "extending the range of beta" last time they used that wording it was to decrease the hit box of the Civic, so I just assumed they might've buffed it again.
On PlayStation is the opposite. Your team mate 90% of time are new player even if you are at high rank , and the enemies instead have all the turbans and gatorade. If you want a good team you need to spend at least 13-14 minute of kicking. The devs shouldn't have taken away the fisible badge rank btw
Rank badge means nothing. It's player level you want to pay more attention to. A level 99 player who's still at Beginner or Amateur rank is likely to be very skilled, just not overly sweaty to care about ranking up quickly. On the flip side I've had Ace rank teammates at level 48 before that are useless and don't know what they're doing. They likely just got to Ace rank by the aid of friends but once they're matched up with randoms it becomes obvious that they lack skill.

I might be the only one who’s happy with MMR matchmaking and that’s because I don’t stand a chance against top 10 leaderboard players of my region. For me, it’s not about ranking up or anything. I literally couldn’t play a single match without getting destroyed by an ace rank team, red deku almight mt lady combo. I’m not new, I am definitely better than a casual but I’m nowhere near the level of those guys, and I want to play. Not to sit in lobby for 5 minutes and die in die in 25 seconds
Agreed. Late season I feel ranked will be a great experience for a large majority of the players. For now it's protecting the newer player experience at a vital time when new players are most likely to join (because of the show).
I hope they fix this soon otherwise this season is ruined. I believe it was some of the high ranks fault because they complained about getting bad teammates while others complained about getting removed. I think the solution is to remove the remove option.

I can deal with a Strike Dabi or an Overhaul just fine in a 1v1, but when there's 5 of each in the lobby and they all start focusing on me because the mindset is now "Tech Dabi is easy pickings" it becomes a little too BS. I've had a match where 2 seperate Strike Dabis ignored each other just to try and fight me.
About match making, i play on PS4, i have every lobby 1 2 or 3 teams of pro players and the others are normal Players like me so yeah really good match making😂
That one homie with the name "gay" is always using the same character and the same skin 😭 I have him has a friend in the game and I also have play against him 🤣
Just so you know, any "new" looking players with unbelievably generic names (i.e. "Gooth", PACT1950s, etc) and default skins are, more likely than not, bots. When they added SBMM they decided "oh let's pretend we have more players! it'll help us ignore crossplay more :)" so, now in unranked, you'll very likely see countless bots. One sure way to tell; They don't have profiles you can view. That All Might and Ibara team you melted at the start was one such example. Hope this helps you and maybe others.
Don't feel bad Stray. You can still find a lot of Elite/Ace rank players in casual mode. Many people switch to that mode once they've reached a satisfactory rank, and with the new matchmaking changes there'll likely be even more like yourself that switch over for a while to avoid bot lobbies.
Just because you're not seeing bots in unranked doesn't mean they're not there. In this patch they also changed bot names in unranked so they resemble real names a bit more. If their name seems quite generic, you might have a bot. If their name is Japanese on a non Japanese server, you might have a bot. If they have a default skin, you might have a bot. If they have no loot, you might have a bot. yadda yadda.
Weird. I'm close 57 points away from getting to expert on Switch and my Matchmaking works fine. SOMETIMES, at night, I get half a bot lobby, but never a full lobby
I think it's mainly a PC problem. I play on Switch too and I've only gotten bot lobbies late at night. Solo had a mostly bot problem when Solo was first introduced, but it stopped being like that after a while. Xbox doesn't seem to have a bot problem either.
Personally I like the matchmaking, feels like I can actually climb up ranks now without facing Xbox top 100 ace ranks in amateur. I can see the issues though when you are in high ranks and on PC

Nah matchmaking is definitely a good thing, just sucks for now for sweaty players until they get their mmr high, because before you could be max rank and get bronze players, and that was complete bull and you had to leave and requeu again over and over until you get a decent team
To let you know what is making the fireworks is the bakugo thingys where if you hit them it sets off fireworks and i mean the stuff with the bakugo images on them

The fireworks going off it’s just letting anyone who sees them or hear them that someone hit them with ability so there’s fighting nearby.

that climbing glitch at 22:02 is super annoying, kept happening to me with different characters in a couple of games the other day
Yeah there's an invisible wall on that sport or some sort of telemetry that blocks climbing. Had it happen in that exact spot and I died because of it
