Hao is the type of person who never lets negativity eat him, and he's the type of person to see positivity and be thankful for situations you are into, which sometimes people think of negatively. Exercising is for both skinny and fat to gain and to losse weight!! He meant Don't do it for others do it for yourself for your good health ... He sure is the kind of person who is straightforward without sugar coating it ..sure he said "eat less" but he also said "but i can't say it recklessly/mindlessly" ..so plz try to see the whole message ..!! The positivity that radiated from this episode is infectious! Gaining and losing weight can be a toxic topic, but this episode didn’t feel toxic at all! The8’s message of self love is one that everyone should take to heart. While many people’s bodies rest at a specific shape naturally (and you shouldn’t be taking extreme measures to change that) any change you make to your body should be of self love. When you start changing your body’s shape because you hate it, you begin to fall down a pit of self hate. Starting from self love, and changing your body’s shape to reach YOUR better self, leads to a happier you!
i saw this losing weight clip on twt a few months ago and i was shocked i wasnt a carat then but now that i watch this video, its very clear that the clip that was posted on the internet was taken out of context and even possibly edited to make him look bad

kpop stans are so problematic, minghao is one of the most positive, calm person out there. whats wrong with y'all. man really said love yourself, no matter you are fat/thin, but if you are (too thin/thick) considering bad impact on health, in order to love yourself, you can eat healthy/exercise not to please people, but to keep your body healthy. IN SHORT - Looking after your body is a way of self love as well, not to achieve perfect body or something.
People on twt keep hating on minghao and calling him nasty things only by seeing that one clip. none of them know anything about how much of a nice person minghao is.
I do agree with The8's principle. Regardless of size, exercise really matters to become healthy. You yourself should know your own body and know if its status is healthy. I just followed SVT this year and I know that The8 really cares about health because before, he was pretty sickly and he even had an injury.

i think the main issue here is him saying that if you’re fat and you love yourself you’d lose weight. I understand why he said that because that is still a very common mindset all over the world (as well as that your body weight and fat % dictates how healthy you are), but that doesn’t make it okay. Everyone should exercise for their health and that should’ve been the recommendation for both skinny and fat people, but that isn’t what he said, he said to eat less. There is repeated evidence that being fat does not necessarily mean someone in unhealthy, and many fat people do exercise and/or not overeat and do not lose weight but are still healthy. Telling people to just eat less and implying if they are happy being fat they don’t love themselves only further instigates low self esteem and body issues (and in many cases eds). Again I do not expect him to know this and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was no ‘apology’ but people have the right to be hurt like this because it’s a message we have received our whole lives and it sucks to hear yet again from someone you love and care about. Also I’m saying this as someone who has watched the video and knows korean, and i’m not referring to the first part that people are saying is a mistranslation

He did say the same sharp answer when asked about skinny individuals. When looking at people’s offences look at the contributing factors. I say things that from my understanding is right but might be unthoughtful to others not because I intended to be mean but environment made me think it’s acceptable. I do believe he could have worded most things better but even with all I had to say.

석훈님 명호랑 케미 너무 좋으셔서 보는 내내 웃으면서 봤어요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 저도 원래 살이 잘 안 찌는 체질이었는데요... 자격증 시험 준비하면서 내용이 너무 어렵고 막막하더라구요 마침 체력관리 차원에서 운동도 하고 있었어서 운동하니까 안 찌겠지~ 란 생각으로 스트레스 받는다고 스트레스 받는 대로 간식 먹고 밥 먹을 때도 왕창 먹었더니 엄청 찌더라구요... 하고 있던 운동이 완전 무산소운동인 걸 간과했어요 유산소면 안 쪘을 텐데 무산소만 디립따 하니까 근육이랑 같이 살이... 붙더라구요... 제 인생 최고 몸무게 찍고 다시 유산소로 엄청나게 불태워서 살 찌기 전이랑 비슷한 몸 만들었어요...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ큐ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ 지금도 방심하면 찌더라구요 체질이 바뀌었나 봅니다...

kpop stans are so problematic, minghao is one of the most positive, calm person out there. whats wrong with y'all. man really said love yourself, no matter you are fat/thin, but if you are (too thin/thick) considering bad impact on health, in order to love yourself, you can eat healthy/exercise not to please people, but to keep your body healthy.
IN SHORT - Looking after your body is a way of self love as well, not to achieve perfect body or something.

I do agree with The8's principle. Regardless of size, exercise really matters to become healthy. You yourself should know your own body and know if its status is healthy. I just followed SVT this year and I know that The8 really cares about health because before, he was pretty sickly and he even had an injury.
weight is not an index of health or self-esteem or happiness.
@@yoooodream_ health is an index of happiness from someone who's suffering from asthma, rhinitis, hay fever and a lot of issues which are controlled due to regular exercising and healthy food intake.
@@kavyaviju3025 Yes, but I'm talking about body image above all, the perception of bodies. and i do it as a fat person who just heard his idol say that his advice to those who gained weight is to stop eating. Even when I am healthier than thin people and my weight does not affect my self-esteem.
i think the main issue here is him saying that if you’re fat and you love yourself you’d lose weight. I understand why he said that because that is still a very common mindset all over the world (as well as that your body weight and fat % dictates how healthy you are), but that doesn’t make it okay. Everyone should exercise for their health and that should’ve been the recommendation for both skinny and fat people, but that isn’t what he said, he said to eat less. There is repeated evidence that being fat does not necessarily mean someone in unhealthy, and many fat people do exercise and/or not overeat and do not lose weight but are still healthy. Telling people to just eat less and implying if they are happy being fat they don’t love themselves only further instigates low self esteem and body issues (and in many cases eds). Again I do not expect him to know this and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was no ‘apology’ but people have the right to be hurt like this because it’s a message we have received our whole lives and it sucks to hear yet again from someone you love and care about. Also I’m saying this as someone who has watched the video and knows korean, and i’m not referring to the first part that people are saying is a mistranslation
@@yoooodream_ his quick “then you gotta stop eating” is like an introduction to what he had to say although I do agree he could have used better words. He did say the same sharp answer when asked about skinny individuals.
When looking at people’s offences look at the contributing factors. I say things that from my understanding is right but might be unthoughtful to others not because I intended to be mean but environment made me think it’s acceptable.
I do believe he could have worded most things better but even with all I had to say.

석훈님 명호랑 케미 너무 좋으셔서 보는 내내 웃으면서 봤어요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 저도 원래 살이 잘 안 찌는 체질이었는데요... 자격증 시험 준비하면서 내용이 너무 어렵고 막막하더라구요 마침 체력관리 차원에서 운동도 하고 있었어서 운동하니까 안 찌겠지~ 란 생각으로 스트레스 받는다고 스트레스 받는 대로 간식 먹고 밥 먹을 때도 왕창 먹었더니 엄청 찌더라구요... 하고 있던 운동이 완전 무산소운동인 걸 간과했어요 유산소면 안 쪘을 텐데 무산소만 디립따 하니까 근육이랑 같이 살이... 붙더라구요... 제 인생 최고 몸무게 찍고 다시 유산소로 엄청나게 불태워서 살 찌기 전이랑 비슷한 몸 만들었어요...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ큐ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ 지금도 방심하면 찌더라구요 체질이 바뀌었나 봅니다...
