What to do in Paris? Sometimes you have to get out of the city. I had never been to Giverny before (which still confuses me:) but this trip was so incredible I actually wept with joy when we got there. It was so beautiful so I tried to grab some clips to really share the loveliness of the house and gardens with you. Monet's garden is impressive, and the house with the gardens out front is a MAJOR source of inspiration for our Everyday Chateau. Is Monet's garden beautiful even in late fall? Yes, it is! For sure add Giverny to the list when you visit Paris!

My husband and I visited Giverny and Monet’s house a few years ago. I will never forget it. This is when I fell in love with blue and white tiles and copper. The kitchen is stunning, so I was happy to see it again, thank you! We spent time walking the precious village of Giverny, so quaint, quiet and worth every penny we spent to get there! Thank you again for this tour, it brought back many wonderful memories.

I have been there with my husband and daughter! It has been one of the most magical places we have visited! I love the colors, the gardens, the smells and the wonderful vibe! Giverny and The House of Monet is one unique place! Greetings from The Netherlands!

As a single mom (and a painter) with my two children and a girlfriend of my daughter we visited Giverny back in the nineties " en route " from the Netherlands to Brittany ( our holiday destination) . My car being a white Saab 900 ;) I added some cultural outings to our vacation. Like Giverny and the Mont St. Michel . My daughter was 13 and my son 11. It was very special and we loved it all!! My daughter made a school project about Monet for her art lessons including our own pictures. Great to see it all back.
I KNOW I'm going to cry watching this. It's been 16 years since I've been and seen this and I'll never forget it.

Thank you so much for this video! Claude Monet's home and garden is my absolute favorite place to visit every time I'm in France.
Monet’s garden is my favorite garden and I’ve been to many including Versailles, Loire Valley castles and gorgeous gardens in England. Monet, with his large staff was able to create a garden bursting with flowers, color, and essential charm. It’s a country garden, but with exquisite elegance, peace and comfort. A lot of people don’t know that a small road separates the flower side of the garden from the water garden. The visitor walks through a small tunnel to get from one side to the other. It’s impossible to choose a favorite, the flower garden or the water garden. I super recommend visiting in June when the roses are exploding! I wish I knew how the gardeners are able to grow such enormous roses, many the size of salad plates. 💐💐💐

I was there in 2018 doing photos and my friend literally had to pull me out of my camera to sit back and take it in. She said you are missing it being behind the lens constantly! She was right...I needed to breathe it in, just be still. I'm thankful for the photos I captured...but as a photographer I have learned when to put the camera down and enjoy the view with my own eyes. The water lily gardens were my favorite to photograph and the outside of his home. We also went in the fall.

Oh these photos of monmarte! The Sac Re Cour…..the steps…..oh my heart. I went to Paris 2001 for a weekend (I spent a semester abroad in London) and it was just instant memories. Giver y has been on my list since I was a kid reading “Lydia In Monet’s garden”…..and the music reminds me of Amelie….Le sigh…..

Quando ho finito la visita di quel bellissimo posto, mi sono sentito un po triste. Grazie per il video che mi ha fatto ricordare il bellissimo giro di Normandia e Bretagna fatto quell'anno. Paesi che non dimenticherò mai. Hanno preso un posto nel mio cuore.

I suppose that I am sorry for you that it rained on that day for you, but for me, the rain, especially the raindrops playing upon the surface of the waterscapes, made the photography and the beauty of the gardens even more romantic and special. For a few moments, it almost made me wish it had rained the times I had visited Monet's gardens. Thank you for sharing this visit with us. It's one of the most enjoyable video of his gardens that I have seen.

Love your commentary. I went to Paris December 2018. Looking at a Spring Summer 2023 visits. Prices for airfare has hit another stratosphere🗼
Summer will be hefty. But we got tickets for April and October of this year for a very fare rate from Air France.

I visited Paris in the spring and I was at Giverny in the spring. It was so magical with the Tulips and daffodils ate in full bloom. It made me cry too.
I went there in spring too, many years ago.This brought back wonderful memories.The village and train ride were such an experience, too.All in all it was the best 2 weeks of my life.
