Bulls are usually well behaved from my experience, so I guess I don’t understand the “intimidating” part very well, but I remember once my Dad called a wild bull to his buggy when we were out 4wheeling The bull came up, my Dad itched it’s horn and the bulls eyes just went “pleasure mode activated” Wouldn’t let us leave until he got enough scratches 😂😂

Meanwhile I nearly got crushed by 2 extremely food oriented cows when I was 14, they didn't even have horns and they somehow managed to be just as dangerous 😂
Longhorns are known for being particularly intelligent for cattle. Used to have a semi wild managed heard of them next to a ranch I lived at. They didn’t give a flying fuck about cattle guards. Saw em several times lined up at our gate. They’d bust any chains on the gate then put their heads sideways to fit through, all while balancing on the cattle guard(basically rolling bars over a pit on the ground). Mind you they’d actively go out of their way to charge you if a bull saw you. Kinda a nuisance to say the least but very smart.
My uncle had a a couple along with chianias as well! He treated them as pets while the angus came and went regularly. When I was little we sawed off a section of horn to get one untangled out of a tree. The coyotes were just waiting for him to die, tracks everywhere around him in the wallow he had made from struggling. Don’t know how many days he’d been fending them off just fighting for his life. I’ll never forget it.
