I think it is neet to see the provenance and history of things... Receipts... warranty cards... manuals... etc. I am glad to see when people keep those things ... it is amazing.
You know I often find the people that extol the virtues of this type of turntable and say things like" they don't make them like they used to", are often the same people who will complain about a modern turntable with a non-adjustable arm. Well like this turntable doesn't have an adjustable arm, or at least a minimally adjustable arm. I mean it's no different than that modern turntable that you're complaining about, you see what I mean. Anyway fantastic commentary on a fantastic turntable, I have the same one as well as numerous turntables and it is something of a workhorse compared to some of Technics more elaborate designs of the same era.
That is a really beautiful Turntable Adam. I wish mine would do what that one does. When I lift the arm on mine it starts to spin but I have to put the needle down at the start of the record. I like that this one does it automatically.
If *Technics SL-QD33* has a higher SNR and a lower wow and flutter than *FLUANCE RT 82* as an example, and better than alot of today's turntables in those specs, why no one calls it a HiFi or an audiophile turntable ? by the way, is the stylus that comes with it conical or elliptical ?
Anti Technics bias. The Hi-Fi rags in the eighties despised P-mount turntables, and DD turntables in general. I never did, and the old fuddy duddies were eventually proven wrong.
I just got one today and same here it does not have a needle but it works great repeat all functions work. I wonder how needles cost for this technics SL-QD33 thnx,
@@RecordKrate What was that rumble/rattling sound when the tone arm is going back to its rest? it looks like it's coming from the base of the tone arm. Mine has the same problem.

Jeez! You actually put that cruddy stylus down on a record! That's an excellent object lesson on how to ruin vinyl!
Awesome. Love vinyl!
Sweet table man!!
I just got one of these and it seems to have a speed issue. 33 is fine but 45 is sometimes way off. And I thought this was supposed to be quartz lock.
Also I noticed the cue cycle is kind of noisy. On the one I got and on that one. So is it normal or something?
The lube on the levers and gears has probably hardened due to age, and needs to be cleaned and re-lubed.@@gweagraff

Great question….I don’t recall which stylus, but I love the late 70s and 80s technics 😎

They are very affordable. Reach out if you need help locating one. RecordKrate@gmail.com
About $30
The needle and the record are filthy, please clean them! I have the same turntable.
Where can I find a replacement needle for this exact turntable? I was gifted one and it has no needle. I have no idea where to look, thank you!
Hey Pedro....will you send me some pics of your cartridge and I’ll try to help. Thanks adam RecordKrate@gmail.com

Mine has the same problem.
(Clean your records & stylus!)
Depreciation = 0% … who would have thought
You'll never lose money on a clean and well maintained Technics DD turntable.
How much is the price?
This one is sold
My QD33 " STOP/START" indicator always blinks. Can somebody tell me why?
Perhaps it’s not properly connected? Find a shop that will remove the bottom cover and take a look.
How 'cool' are you with the filthy record and all that crap hanging off your stylus? Is this some sort of joke?
I think he's a newbie. He appears to have a quick learning curve and will eventually understand the intimacies of LP care.
