There is no denying their rapid transition into modern transportation but not all of it is good. The 2011 Wenzhou train derailment for example. You are being nice. If it was only dirty it wouldn’t be so bad. The NYC metro is filthy with trash, urine and feces, from bums and rats, and raw sewage flowing along the tracks.
This is unbelievable, how can someone even do this. I am always so surprised how China went from 0 to 100 really quickly in terms of prosperity and technological advancement. I wonder how they get so many great architects and builders to actually build this. It must be so difficult. Now I feel like everything is possible in China. I wish to go there one day, but I can't speak Chinese and that makes me sad.
I have been i Chengdu for 3 years now and i have seen nothing but growth and beautiful infrastructure. Every subway line and stops tells a little story about the place. The architectures are beautiful and really inspirational.
Hello Max! The subway in Chengdu looks fantastically beautiful, I remember when I arrived there I was just very pleasantly surprised how bright and clean everything is there !! By the way, the metro in Chengdu is more convenient than in other cities in China, this is of course my personal experience. Thank you very much for choosing the metro to rent for us it was very nice to see !! And of course I would like to continue the video about the city of Chengdu, if of course you are still there!
The green and white wavy ceiling panels in the Metro are not only aesthetically pleasing but functional as well in that they block the glare of the ceiling downlights whilst ensuring the area remains uniformly lit with bright lighting.
It does look beautiful, but I think it is going to be a nightmare for maintenance with the perforated metal which tends to collect dust just like the one you see on the computer panel. air blasting or hight-pressure water is needed to clean them.
The train stations in New York where I'm at can pass as a set for horror movie without any modifications to them. They look like they were lastly renovated in the 40s. Not only do they look bad, they smell horid with graffiti all over the place, and filthy floors.
Very Interesting video. CD stations and lines are very creative showing Chinese culture mixed with modern and futuristic. The designers and architects, I applaud. Thank you......I hope you can do a similar video for CQ sometime soon.
The big difference is, the Chinese govt only has the people in mind, and they follow that principle in whatever they propose to do. As for India, I can’t speak for them, and I have no inclination to disparage them either!

The Chinese are unrivaled when it comes to building massive infrastructure quickly. It's mind blowing to me, as a Brazilian, that they have built 557 Km of metro lines in just 12 years.
Thanks for your feedback, Gabriel🌹
Probably another 500 kilometers are under construction in the next five years. I am from this city, and the subway is really convenient
This looks better than Tokyo or New York
Incredible.

Absolutely immaculate stations with very charming and modern decor . I’m extremely impressed.
Had there been no people's republic of China, the whole world's concept about beauty and execusite beauty of infrastructure development for all would be unimaginable even in dreams. Nevertheless, it will take minimum of 2 centuries to replicate these developments in even the most developed nations.

it’s so nice of you. Although I’ve never been to India before, I’ve always wanted to visit your great country, to see the unbelievably beautiful architectures and to meet the people there. Much respect from China.
Maybe China has the most infrastructure but the best? Have you been to Japan? The Netherlands? Sweden?
@@jimjimgl3 I have been to Japan, it is a developed country.
How many Kms of high speed rail does China have? It has 70% of the world's total installed high speed rail and before 2008 they had 0 kms.
Give credit where it's due. What China has achieved in the last 2 decades is unbelievable.
It is not only in the high speed rail but in every field. The phone/tablet that you're using might also be made in China.
China's rise is spectacular and some of the infra that China has built has no comparison.
@@1aZoOs Yes. Of course, they are building at breakneck speed. But at what cost? If you have a business or home in the projected path of infrastructure good luck seeking equitable payment for your land. These are state controlled industries that do what they want irregardless of societal or environmental impact. There is no denying their rapid transition into modern transportation but not all of it is good. The 2011 Wenzhou train derailment for example. And when you get on that train all your movements within China will be tracked. I've been to China a few times and it is an amazing country with smart and friendly people but their government rules with an iron fist.
@@jimjimgl3 Yeah, you're right. They passed a law couple of years ago where any pvt. company could be nationalized if China perceives threat from it's business conduct. This aspect of China is very scary. Look at Jack Ma, he was coming out for the biggest IPO of his Ant Finance but the CCP is arm twisting him to sell it for free. This is the reason why the Chinese markets and companies trade at a discount in valuation to Indian companies.

I met the New York subway and there was only dirt!

It does look beautiful, but I think it is going to be a nightmare for maintenance with the perforated metal which tends to collect dust just like the one you see on the computer panel. air blasting or hight-pressure water is needed to clean them.
