Good choice avoiding those rods Graham, I fitted some in a Clio 172 track car and one failed after a couple of track days, the big end cap cracked and the rod bolt sheared off wasn’t sure if the bolt failed or the rod using standard ones now with ARP bolts with no issues, keep the videos coming 👍
Do you only do Ford engines or others? I’ve got a VW 16v engine in bits which needs building properly and I’m not sure I have the required skill for it…
I do a few others, if its an ABF I have some experience of them having done one as a fast road upgrade and another that I built/look after for a rally car which makes 220bhp.That said I only do engines that I can fully build and Dyno test in house, so unless its on carbs or aftermarket engine management I probably wouldn't take it on.
You sound just like my dad when he taught me to tune car engines. I enjoy watching your videos, it's a trip down memory lane.
Thanks 👍

Used max speeding rods in my 2.4 engine for years reving to 8200rpm and they are still in the car now 8/9 years on.
👍👍👍👍👍
Just finished a mammoth session on my dyno, stopped for a coffee, see if there is life outside a dyno room. 🙂

@@PenguinMotors it’s a KR (1.8 vs 2.0) but essentially the same engine. I’ll put some info together and send you an email.
