    I love how simple and compact that little engine is!

    were these made by Fuji heavy industries? if so they were also making twin cylinder air-cooled engines for polaris (snowmobile company) at that time aswell.

      Exactly the same company

    Why are the sparkplugs on the distributor not 180 Degrees apart?
    If one piston is down the other is up. Firing each plug 360/2 is 180.
    Thanks.

    2 things!!
    1) You should DEFINITELY make a video of the 360 engine that you are pulling the crank out of! I'm super curious as to how exactly it comes apart!! Please. Lol
    2) I'm moving back to Gresham here soon and if I remember correctly,,, you're just right around the corner from where I'll be working at Fullbore. I'd really like to meet you! I'll be driving my 85 300ZX from Louisiana to Oregon in the beginning of June and am shooting to be at Bumpers off ne Halsey having a Bumper burger on the 4th or 5th lol

    Reminds me a lot of my old Honda 600 motor.. Cool stuff..

    A nice design indeed. Also very smart to split the crankcase vertically, instead of horizontally. And, of course, a distributor driven by the crankshaft. The carburator size seems small to me, for example the Suzuki GT 500 used two mikuni VM 28, one for every cylinder. Is there an reed valve maybe? Or a rotary disk?

      @2stroketurbo  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Daniel Noest nope, this is 1950's siplistic technology

    Is that unit construction, like on a motorcycle engine?

  • @redneckbryon

    In your opinion what kills the 360's??
    That complete engine and transmission you showed does it run or does it have something wrong with it as well??

      +ARednecksLife Most of them only made it 20k miles before holing a piston usually human error

    wouldnt the muffler being that close to the intake blower make it overheat easier?

    • @linglingjr
      @linglingjr 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Think of all those engines where the intake and exhaust manifolds run in between each other.

    I just found one of these cars out in the woods. It is a complete wreck of a body, but the engine and rear drive train seem to be complete from a parts standpoint. Wondering if there is any value in the engine or if anybody is looking for one?

    Really hate those new Fiats, especially those "The Italians are coming" advertisements they did.

    I'm ised to two-stroke motorcycles and this design looks kind of horrifying. I'd love to see someone swap an RD400 engine into the car. Final drive would be tricky but it's a huge bump in power. Or there's the Banshee engine if you really want to tear ass.

    • @2stroketurbo

      +JETZcorp We're working on Banshee water cooled cylinder conversion kit. Shhhh. its a secret
