"필연(必然)" 이라는 것을 영어에서는 어떤 단어로 번역을 할 수 있을까요? "어떤 일의 결과나 사물의 관계가 반드시 그렇게 될 수밖에 없음" 나타내는 단어입니다.
"필연에게서 도망쳐, Run on" 이 문장에서는 "필연"이 두 사람에게서 발생할 수 밖에 없는 어떤 나쁜 사건, 운명을 뜻 할 것 같은데요.. (탄생 --> 소멸과 같은...)
한국어 가사에서 가지는 뉘앙스와 숨겨진 의미를 번역된 가사가 모두 담지는 못한 듯 하지만, 이건 어쩔 수 없는 부분이라고 생각합니다.
Shania Yan은 그녀의 감성으로 아름답게 잘 표현했네요.
이 곡의 가사를 영어로 번역을 하는 것이 아니라 아주 새로 개사(改詞)를 하면 더 좋을 수 있을 것 같다는 생각도 듭니다.
