Maybe the "retro" boom is a repudiation of the current Optimus Prime look the designers have decided we want. Specifically, (1) the creation of sharp and pointless angles on every part of the bike, (2) pathetically small and unusable pillion seats with no grip bars, (3) a basic design unbalance with the flimsy tail of the rear body miles above the rear tire, (4) the odd proportion of engine plus stumpy little exhaust forward of the mid point of the bike, visually, and then a feeble looking rear part. (5) thin slippery foot pegs pretending to be daggers, and (6) some quite peculiar gas tank shapes, either humpy or with bends and angles everywhere.
