For #10, we are told the hybodus preyed on 'whales'. We're also told that they went extinct 66 million years ago. 66 million years ago, whales had not yet evolved.
@@jenniferwright3963 It might be still alive i know it's extinct but some animals came unextinct and plus the largest shark was ever caught was 36 ft and the megalodon can size upabout 60 ft and more.
Nice video but some of the information is presented in a misleading way. Primarily the part where it is confusing as to whether or not you meant that electro sensory was a skill exclusive to the Scapanorhuynhus, when it is in fact a common trait shared between At least most sharks if not all.
btw here are some things to take note of 1. The helicoprion is not considered a shark. it is a eugeneodont fish looking shark but actually isn't! 2. the edestus also isn't a shark. it is considered as a holocephalian fish that lived back then. 3. Otodus is a family of sharks. Not just a shark. The Megalodon is known as the O. Megalodon because it was part with the Otodus family of sharks. Also goes with O. Obliquus, O. Sokolovi, O. Chubutensis etc. Hope this helps!
great video! i really enjoyed the fascinating facts you shared. but honestly, i can't help but wonder if it’s a bit exaggerated to label these sharks as the "strangest." don’t you think some of the ones we have today might be just as bizarre in their own right?
I love sharks. They are the coolest animals ever especially their very very sharp teeth. For my love of sharks I think it's awesome there are many acient sharks. I love sharks so much.
The first one feels like a filling... =/ I was thinking about Megalodon but the title called for Strangest then I said meh... Megalodon is just a big big version of GW.... and i was thinking the Helicoprion would be no.1. But still great job Katrina, it is not easy to produce high quality interesting videos on daily basis. Take care!
I watched a prehistoric shark tv show year ago that had a funny looking shark in it and we couldn’t remember the name of it so we always just called it the “chimney head shark” 😂 finally today after years of not knowing the real name of the shark I find out it’s called a stethacanthus. Thanks!
Man 1: Hey guys I found a dinosaur Man 2: Yay, let's name it Man 1: Let's call it a *Sccfroocaghorozenaurasaur* Man 2: *YAYYYYYYYYYYY* EDIT: I'm a great fan :D can u *pin* me ??
so number 8 you say had scales like most other fish but no idea what it looked like? how can some one first, know it had scales and not know what it looks like AND only find its fossilized teeth? things aren't adding up for me on number 8 🤔
I just needed to know more about the helicopren shark.
helicoprion is a fossilised shark
maybe im wrong but beaver said it
Oooooo
Ok
@Madalin Grama no need to cuss dude
Sharks are my favorite creatures to learn about. I wish I could go back in time and check out these prehistoric sharks.
7:11 looks similar to the prehistoric frilled shark. Cladoselache relative 🤔
Lol! I LUV the random picture to keep us entertained!
I love how accurate your facts are. My only problem is that what ur talking about doesn't always match the pictures
For #10, we are told the hybodus preyed on 'whales'. We're also told that they went extinct 66 million years ago. 66 million years ago, whales had not yet evolved.
Science is a lie maybe I don't know what's real anymore
Also, I don't get number 8. How do they know it had scales when all we have is their teeth?
@@br.jesseochoagonzalez1705 placoid scales, that's they are known for
Hi i must thank u, ur videos have Spark inspiration , for my next book I'm going to be working on :) please keep making more videos
Brilliant brilliant video I love sharks thanks Katrina
I think that nearly every "monster" is still alive, somewhere
It's true something of them
Agree. The ocean is a pretty big place and only 5% of the ocean has been discovered after all
Elias Löscher birds :D
There’s one I don’t agree on and it’s megalodon
@@jenniferwright3963 It might be still alive i know it's extinct but some animals came unextinct and plus the largest shark was ever caught was 36 ft and the megalodon can size upabout 60 ft and more.
Thanks for the information and you guys are awesome
angel savage and then you have a lot
👼😇 shrug ng HGH
🤼♂️ guy ugh dug HGH
Wow, wha6 a fantastic and also amazing shark 😂😂
1 like 1 prayer for none to be alive. Only 5 percent of the ocean has been discovered.
4 actually
looks like only fourteen people TwT help us
I want these to exist
Very intresting! keep going.
Was it a different shark or was it cladoselache that was discovered recently to be alive and not extinct
Nice video but some of the information is presented in a misleading way. Primarily the part where it is confusing as to whether or not you meant that electro sensory was a skill exclusive to the Scapanorhuynhus, when it is in fact a common trait shared between At least most sharks if not all.

Imagine thinking a helicoprion was a shark.
1:09 Whales weren't around at that time. The more accurate one is "Small Marine Reptiles"
I’m here because of the comment on L’s video. Running them likes up Fam
How do you know all this?!
I love sharks. They are the coolest animals ever especially their very very sharp teeth. For my love of sharks I think it's awesome there are many acient sharks. I love sharks so much.
You say it like “mausosaur” lol
My top 10 strangest prehistoric sharks. Bobbodus, parahelicoprion, sarcoprion, caseodus, fadenia, romerodus, listracanthus, edestus, delphyodontos and helicoprion

JoJo Rau OMG I GET IT XXXXXZX
JoJo Rau well my feeling the last shark was goblin shark because of its looks and use of the mouth
JoJo Rau
How do u know her name??
Me too
JoJo Rau dhxgxjghgcngxhhju
The helicorprian is actually not a shark and is related.
The helocripoin is a shark who stabbed it's pray by letting a circle of teeth come out of a role
Aww the falcatus shark looked cute
When almost half of all the animals presented aren't even sharks at all.
Super cool
This looked cool
Fox Girl sfsgd💕😝😍
the thing at 1:19 is a Mola Mola
and the Mola Mola is A VERY BIG BOI

Was it Megladon
@@Nodod192 no I don’t think so the shark literally had this thing coming off it’s head that looked like a chimney
Is there a dunkleostus
1:09 If this specie died out 66 million years ago it couldn't have eaten any whales.
for the ppl who saw the thumbnail it’s number two
Cladoselache is still alive a person on japan found one a couple of years ago
Xenocanthus was my favorite
Those are some very strange sharks
I think you forgot about the dunkleosteus thats a shark right??
No its a fish
The “scapanorhuynchis” is actually a goblin shark and is not exstinct
