I am in awe of the messes you find and how you make cleaning up the cluster of disasters in an organized way look so easy!!! So nice to see some things work out in this world. Thanks so much for bringing the camera (and us) along.
'To unstuck it' is totally apt - don't need more stress on this project. Mr Donnie is such a good man - a happy person and down-to-earth. Time to let this crusher and stacker get to work and make a dollar or two for LetsDig18.
Chris take a foot long lock-tie thru shackle and thru shackle pins eye-hole, pull tight ( will never pinch ) after slightly tightening shackle pin, past making snug, then to remove just turn shackle pin ( wrench ) and lock-tie will break, 30yrs Oilfield Rig floors !
"I know! Let's make the safety warning siren so loud and obnoxious that there's no way someone could concentrate on operating the big awkward machine safely!"
I use an equalizer on my computer to lower the beep beep frequencies all the way down when they are annoying. I much prefer the "Shh-Shh" euro audible warnings.
What a beast of a machine. Looks like something from a sci-fi movie. Chewing cement down is spendy, hope all goes great Chris. Need a hawk to watch for rebar when loading.
This is just crazy that you not only got yourself into this your having to figure it out on the fly. You must have a really good rapport with the owner to be trusted with all the work you’ve done on the farm, but🎉 now in the part of what his business does. You’re tackling it like the true professional that you are, great job
All I can say is this customer must be a really good friend for you to go through what you've gone thru so far. No way that I would do that even if I was qualified.
“They told me I was responsible but I signed your name,” sounds like something I’d hear in my office. I could spend hours working with/talking shop/listening to tall tales with Mr. Donnie. He reminds me a lot of guys I grew up around with my dad and granddad on a job site, in the garage, or at the parts store. Guys like them are worth their weight in gold.
The amount of re-bar may have been the reason why the other contractor bailed out from doing the rest of the crushing job. Mr Donnie is a hoot! It felt a little bit bizzaar watching you place those mats down on dry ground lol. That crusher looks HUGE !
That is a heck of a workout for that LetsDig Bucket & Thumb! Amazing how well you can grip rebar with the thumb. The mate between the Bucket & Thumb teeth is outstanding!
Chris is a whole different person when he's interfacing with others quite a funny guy when he's not on a piece of equipment , when he is working he's all business ,off the equipment he's a funny guy with a awesome personality
That’s a whole Lotta work in Parts right there for things to go wrong with it. It looks expensive to me. Can’t wait to see you use it Chris be safe. Looking forward to your video.
That crusher, as it came off the lowboy, looked just like a Sandcrawler from Star Wars. Donnie was so funny "You got a damn frontloader there, don't know why you need this." He cracks me up every time you have him on the channel, Chris. Glad Robert was there to lend a hand. Can't wait until you have them both running and crushing that concrete.
When I first saw it, all I could think of was adding the Darth Vader theme from Star Wars for music background. Dang You Tube and their Copyright rules!
I would not have believed that all your effort on this job was worth it, either financially or otherwise, but I admire your work ethic on what to me seems a frickin' nightmare of a job.
What are the options. You could pay Chris to clean up the site, which is partially offset by the value of the crushed concrete. Or, you could pay Chris to bury the concrete. The first option is probably more expensive than the second, but by how much?
But he mentions the cost of equipment he would have to pay for as being astronomical. Why would he shell out that cash to shorten the number of hours he could bill for? @@TronVila
Customer that is getting the crushed concrete is the same customer that owned this site. Pay someone to clean up and haul away then buy road base or crush it and use it himself.
Concrete with short rebar with be eaten up by that crusher 👍we used one last year, I must say we had a man stood next to hopper with a bar to help it through at times, with Chris and his first class ability he will feed concrete into hopper gently 👍unlike some of our operators just drop it and wonder why the belt is stuck 😤
you need to put a cable thimble on your sling for the ball it will make that expensive sling last far longer giving things a different wear surface than just the sling on shackle
Rental company didn't do a good job of cleaning the unit. A fairly good size rock came tumbling off the conveyor at 12:00 while you were unloading. Would have damaged a vehicle on the road pretty good if it fell off during transportation. It would be good for you to go over the unit that with that in mind when you return the equipment.
We had a lot of problems with our scale on the track stacker seemed like every time we moved it had to recalibrate it. Hope yours works good. Or just do what I did but three buckets in a dump truck and go weigh it then just count buckets😊
You are going to have a nice set up when you get rolling, should be able to get some good tonnage p/h out that crusher from the look of it with Your end of it is all set. Looking forward to seeing some production footage on this one, thanks for the update, enjoying the series, appreciate your videos.
Dealing with people is indeed stressful, which I imagine is why you tend to spend your work day alone in an excavator or dozer, the only person on site, just digging holes and grading and so forth. Instead of running a larger business with employees and insurance and so forth.
Chris, you wanted and now you got it. I hope everyone works efficiently and safe. Hopefully you'll have good weather the entire you have it on rent. Donnie is a hoot. Stay Safe and God Bless.
That is a little baby impacter. You did right to prepare the way you did. Could have used volumetric calcs instead of a belt weigher. Cant wait for the next vlog. Thank you again sir.
Mr. Donnie , is just the coolest cat !! lolol... You ain't lying Chris, that looks like a lot of Crusher !! lololol... A damn coolant leak, and it just came off the hauler !! Great as always Chris, Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !! Oh, that stacker has the worst siren on it !! Wow !! That will get on ya damn nerves pretty quick...lololol...
