Yeah I’m from Melbourne and I can see the progress from the beach! Also the B1M is very underrated I was surprised when I first found out how little it’s subscriber count was!
For any Australian or really anyone the Eureka Skydeck, next to this tower, was the tallest skyscraper in Melbourne and held its title for quite some time. I remember being a kid and going up it seeing the views and being inside the cube, which is such a cool idea for a skyscraper. It’s sad to see its title taken but honestly this new building is a beauty and the alongside the skyline of Melbourne it just adds to its beauty.
It is one of my hobbies and travel the world and go up into the largest skyscrapers. The Edge was a cool touch for Eureka Skydeck, however I've never done it due to insane price. This new building better have a tourist view at the top.

I literally pass by this every time in the city, never seen inside it of course, but it is so visually stunning. The Eureka had a good reign but the title of tallest will never be a long term title. Love your work coming from Australia ; )
I work in this building once in a while and have been to the top many times. At first it was great but after a while it just feels like any other residential building. Nothing special.

@@himynameis3102 Because the people selling them at these inflated prices will never back down, wanna know why, because in the case of highrises, they're mostly Chinese investors, and they see it as a safe place to keep their money instead of a shoddy Chinese bank. So even if it takes them 5 years to sell a highrise at the inflated price, they STILL made a profit, and they never had to entrust their money with the Chinese Communist Party controlled banks..
I love seeing Melbourne on this channel, it’s very interesting to see. Also very interesting to see some very tall buildings in South Yarra. As well as Box Hill also. Many Melburnian suburbs going up in height

We have so many exciting projects happening - e.g. Australia 108, Premier Tower, the Metro Tunnel and many more in the pipeline e.g. Green Spine (which will actually be ever taller than Australia 108). Can't wait to see how the city changes over the next decade - it looks very promising.

Sydney has height restrictions because the Airport is in the middle of the city, it's nu archaic it's due to the airport requirements unlike Melbourne Airport which is in the Boonies

Not sure if it's just me, but I really enjoy when the construction firm managing the project is represented. It's always refreshing to research new companies and see what other projects they're working on. Also, thanks B1M...I wake up every Wednesday excited to watch your videos during lunch.
All tall building in Australia go to bedrock, one advantage of out cities is there is almost always bedrock to build on, sometimes is close to the surface sometimes it's a bit further but it's there.
@Asir Wutaydah I much prefer classical architecture, still looking forward to the day when we build classical skyscrabers instead of weird twisted greenhouses.

Melbourne seems to have all the tall towers in Australia, guess they don't have archaic building height restrictions ala Sydney.
Antphoneigh this was originally going to be 388 metres but height limits decreased it, unfortunately.
