So Sky Express' A320 Neo. Chances are you haven't flown it yet. But would you put up with a LCC to Greece over something like Aegean? Let me know down below!
You are right there are a handful, mostly from Thessaloniki to Crete and a few other places. But for the primarily American audience of this channel, there's no flights that would help a "standard Greek itinerary."
When you say the Greek airline industry had been a bit of a mess you mean when Olympic airways was state owned (2009) years ago? But in fairness to Aegean airline it’s a well run company that took over the Olympic name with some great reviews so with them and Sky Express I don’t see Greek Aviation in a mess and that was just a snippy comment.
Well it was intended to be snippy, that's kind of my whole persona :) I get into more details about what I meant in the video on Olympic/Aegean. I'm referring to the mergers, and name changes (i.e. Olympic Airways vs. Airlines, all of Onassis...dealings, etc.). It also results in the confusion of my booking an Olympic flight, operated by Aegean, even though Aegean owns Olympic.
Oh I'm a big fan of "Dave" in Japan! Was planning to do the Shimanami Kaidō because of Journey Across Japan this November but obviously that's not happening. The raw mp4 of the video I did on the Icelandic volcano is also titled "too much volcano."
@@Travelog Same actually. Shimanmi Kaido is something I want to give a go as well whenever I can go back to Japan. While I'm at it I want to give ANA a go as well, they actually launched their inaugural flight direct to Tokyo a while back just before the pandemic from where I am, finally giving us a direct non stop flight to Tokyo but don't know if ANA will return to my city post pandemic. Otherwise its Singapore airlines only.
I flew ANA back in 2017 in the old business class and really enjoyed it. Yes the seats were old, but the food and service was fantastic. I had the "the room" booked for November but that's sadly not happening. Have yet to fly Singapore but its very high on the list, and may pull the trigger as soon as Singapore opens up to travel.

Nice video with the voiceover explanation and mostly accurate ( I found some minor inaccuracies). Wish to fly soon again to Santorini...
You are knocking it out of the park with these memes.
I wish Olympic Air was a big airline like in the 80s and 90s
Am I the only one who noticed the what looks like massive phallic object on the TV at 2:18?
Great video. I will flying with Sky Express (A320neo and ATR42) this saturday. What row did you sit in?
There *are* some domestic flights that don't involve Athens, including inter-island, and flights that between Thessaloniki and a domestic destination.

Just to know SkyExpress is not a low cost airline! There are not Greek low cost airlines! Both Aegean and SkyExpress are "normal" airlines
Wasn't expecting to see Chris Broad pop out out of this channel.

Better to fly with Turkish airlines than with with them from Crete. Never ever..!
