Joe Taslim really captures the cold killer look and feel of Sub Zero/Bi Han and Hiroyuki Sanada captures the emotion and pent up rage of Scorpion/Hanzo Hasashi.
The choreography is clean man. Beautiful camera work, no random jump cuts/shaky cams, moves look brutal but still flashy. This is how you translate a fighting game to the big screen.
Funny that the actor himself is a very soft-spoken and humble guy with zero grandstanding... (Mind you, when a Japanese like me says someone is humble it means he's ridiculously humble lol)

If they don´t stick up to it then there is no lore of Hanzo discovering the truth. And the only thing would be Scorpion killing Sub-zero and just taiga replacing him for vengeance with stucked story.
It wasn't unfortunately. Saw it in Portugal yesterday, I'm a big fan of the game and the lore of MK 9/10/11 but this doesn't hold up to it unfortunately.

If they don´t stick up to it then there is no lore of Hanzo discovering the truth. And the only thing would be Scorpion killing Sub-zero and just taiga replacing him for vengeance with stucked story.
Just watched the entire movie this deserves a perfect 10
Admitedly, there's not a lot of competition in the genre but this is looking like this will be the best video game movie adaption we've ever had.

It wasn't unfortunately. Saw it in Portugal yesterday, I'm a big fan of the game and the lore of MK 9/10/11 but this doesn't hold up to it unfortunately.

The 1995 MK movie actually sets the world much better than this movie.

Perfect Sub Zero and Scorpion! Could not have picked better actors for these parts. You can tell a lot of love and respect for the source material went into this project. Looking forward to seeing this on Friday!
