Good idea! Will get that into the rotation. Until then, you would export each branch and include a new column called “branch”. U would then append all together in power query and use branch as a filter
There certainly is a way, but I’m not 100% familiar with how to do so in this setting! I believe it would be a custom field / measure. Will do some research on it
You work from an existing PL, it's not the reality, you have to work from the accounting detail entry and it's not the same thing, it's very complicated in Power Pivot as in Power bI
The way I would approach that is by bringing this to the data model, and then creating Custom Measures for both metrics, and formatted for %. You can learn how to do that in this video: th-cam.com/video/SayhYGHgnLI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_3ov3BGdxhXmgUaa

Hi Josh, do you have also the blank template to follow along, please? :)
No blank one, but I do have the completed one that you can recreate!

Great video. Just wondering whether we can do a Gross margin % based on the PV table created?

Save my life♥
mission accomplished :)
Will this update dynamically when data for a new month is added to the original source data?
Yes! That’s the beauty of power query

Thanks for sharing your feedback - I'm not sure I follow. You're saying you need to start one level deeper with the transaction detail?
