This is what I exactly experience once in ten days these days. I feel i got better but some nights and start crying for 5-10mins saying the exact words you have said in the beginning of the video. Thank you for the wonderful video.
I find that it's helpful to see our brain in two parts. Logical and emotional. The emotional part is quite prehistoric and gives us that panic, fight or flight feeling. The flight or fight response increases your senses, including hearing!! So it's so easy to end up in the negative loop spiral because louder T causes more anxiety which causes louder T..... The problem is our emotions see tinnitus as a threat. Fortunately we can use the logical part of our brain to calm down the emotional part. This is pretty much what I think you are saying actually. Great videos Julian.
basstutorman, this is brilliant. YES. This is what has helped me a lot. I have come to where I don't care much at all, on the occasions I hear it. It's like the most minor of nuisances, and my attention only stays on it for like a few minutes, then I'm back to my regular, daily life, full of interests, and activity. I'm no longer worried about it, at all. I think I knew intuitively that if I backed off the intense "emotionality" of it, I'd start to feel better, and lo and behold, that is what has happened.
Thanks Julian!:) I never posted any thanks on TH-cam ever before but from the bottom of my heart.... Thanks for all you are doing, God bless you for your kindness😀

I’m having an awful time as my partner is prone to outbreaks of anger and yelling at me. My tinnutis rages out of control. He knows this but it seems to never stop him. One day he’s loving and caring, I begin to relax and then I’m woken up to him screaming at me and that’s how my day begins... then panic and worry set in for the day :( I’m afraid I’ll be stuck with my tinnutis and ear pressure forever. My hearing has become so much worse I sleep with one hearing aid in as I get afraid in a deaf world but a head full of cabin pressure and waterfalls.....

matisse monroe, I agree with others who say, begin to consider leaving your partner, for good. And if you fear he will come after you, please, please get help for protecting yourself (and your children, if you have any). I know this is easier said than done, but you cannot fully heal, or perhaps not heal at all, while living with daily extreme anxiety and fear and abuse. Even yelling loudly is abuse, it is emotional abuse, and it can wear you down so that you haven't the strength to do much of anything. It affects you on all levels - body, mind, and spirit. Believe me, please, I know. I am middle-aged, and recently ended a 6 year long relationship with a man who was emotionally/verbally abusive. I loved him and still care about him, because he is a tormented soul, etc. etc, but I wanted my life back. I TOOK my life back, so I no longer see him. I attracted men like this because I grew up with an abusive father, who to this day STILL behaves abusively, to my dear mother, and to his kids. I live far from him but he will even affect me on the phone sometimes. I would have long ago cut off all contact with him were it not that I love my mother, and if I want to see her, and have a relationship with her, I have to sometimes tolerate my father on the phone, or in person. But he is very draining. It does not matter if your partner is "sometimes" kind, or loving, he is STILL abusing you, and no abuse is okay, none. I hope you can find the strength to seek help for yourself in this regard.

Hi Julian. Thanks for your videos. I was wondering if you can answer my question. I had very soft tinnitus for 40 years, then about a year ago started to get louder. Do you think that I can get it back to a lower sound? Thanks for your help ☺️

Hi. No, I'm not taking any meds anymore. I have other issues that I was told can give you Tinnitus. Histamine, Oxalates and Salicylates intolerances. That started in October of 2022 with the tachycardia, palpitations, high blood pressure and louder Tinnitus.

Hello.. question.. I've been experiencing tinnitus for about 3 months. I believe its a result of terrible sinusitis i had this past spring. Its seems to be getting better. 1 day on 1 day off now and not as loud as it was. Is my ear susceptible to hearing loss now??
No. When your head and nasal area clear things should get better. Infections cause flare-ups and can block hearing - ironically I have this right now! - but this is temporary.

I'm 16 and I've had my tinnitus since January 5th 2018. I got it after one night at a party where I got mildly drunk so that I wasn't thinking straight.
