      I think most European courses are better. They're far more pretty, lots more technical fun shots, and always a bigger crowd

      I live close by this course and I play it maybe once a month just bc its so hard..Have had tons of fun here in winter in the pitch black with glow discs that you charge with UV light. Just guesstimate where the hole is and blast your disc into the darkness and hope for the bestxD

    We need to give Nate Perkins a huge shout out for all the hustling. Competing, commentating and even interviewing Paul McBeth after round 2, playing three strokes better than the goat himself . 👏👏

    There's another Norwegian course that also looks amazing. Can't remember the name, but it's privately owned and has a 200 something meter island hole where you're teeing from elevated platform.

      Wasn’t placing well in the states. Can’t keep up with the long bomb throws that’s now required. Washed. List goes on. Still a legend for sure

    • @sobakathehusky
      @sobakathehusky ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think it has to do with his international push for DG exposure/bringing more awareness and exposure to DG outside the US. Definitely nothing to do with being “washed” lol. If you’re placing in the top 10 in the world and you have 6 world titles of which there (ed.) are some not very old and a second place on top of that recently, it’s safe to say you are still very much competitive. This sport doesn’t require 700’ throws. I think he’s fine at 650 haha

    • @DiscGolfGallery71
      @DiscGolfGallery71 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paul wants to grow the sport around the world. It doesn't happen if you play DDO and all the same tournaments for the 15th time. Paul is now 32. He should do international tours now that he is still fighting for wins and his fame is still fresh. There isn't that many pros of his age left in DGPT. Ulibarri (34), Koling (38) and Locastro (33) score positions 20-60 and miss cash every now and then. Sexton (38) is doing only selected tournaments.

  • @TheAeroRising
    @TheAeroRising ปีที่แล้ว

    Obviously Jakub is already a worthy Pro but he’s going to have to learn to shape shots with less stable discs to take his game to that NEXT level and not rely on getting over on a disc completely in the woods.

    why is McBeth playing some ratty EU events and not the PDGA Elite events? Has he fallen that far where he's no longer competitive amongst the best in the sport, so he's dropping down a level to remain competitive? Is he getting paid extra to bring a big name to the EU events? Hmmm....

    • @Purcader222
      @Purcader222 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      3/10 troll, you can do better.
      But an answer for those who do wonder why Americans might want to play in Europe instead: Tournaments like DDO are hyzerbomb snoozefests on modified golf courses

    • @kimmomatikainen1843
      @kimmomatikainen1843 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Several reasons. He is probably growing his own foundation and also growing Discraft in Europe. He has also openly said that he doesn't like current PDGA's course selection. He doesn't like that so many tournaments are played on golf courses. Lot of pros have complained about it. He has won almost everything in disc golf so there isn't much new to win in the US. He will play majors and Worlds. There are two Elite events in Europe as well and he will play in those.
      I have seen quite many Americans in Finland this summer. They have come to Finland for a disc golf vacation. Lot of American have written in these columns that they would love to come to Europe and play courses in here. That might be one reason for McBeth as well. Growing his brand and foundation and doing PR for Discraft AND playing new courses and meeting new people. It sounds pretty good to me.
      If he lacks motivation to compete in current US elite event courses, this is a great option for him.
      Level of the game in the US is so high and I don't think he would in his current form so that might have helped him to make this decision. Why play courses he doesn't like for the 10th position.

      He's helping the sport to grow in Europe my friend, big up to him. And about his level of game, this man is working hard to push his foundation, which is also there to grow our amazing discipline. Cheers.
