After searching for my next car and having no luck deciding my step daughter said I should have a look at her car XC60 D5 she’s had hers for about five years and does very high mileage and she still loves it,so last Christmas I saw one advertised in my local dealers and bought a 2016 XC60 D5 . I can only say it’s by far the best car I’ve ever owned it’s so good at everything pulls like a train extremely comfortable really good mpg considering the size of engine low tax low insurance.for some reason I wouldn’t have even thought of a Volvo unless she had mentioned it. I’m glad she did.
Good review but one thing is the 2.4 5 cylinder diesel is not a Ford-derived engine. It was created when Ford owned Volvo however it was developed by Volvo on Its own. The 2.0 5 cylinder diesel is the same engine but reduce in size. The 2.0 4 cylinder is also Volvo's own engine. I prefer the Volvo 5 cylinder diesel engines as opposed to the Volvo 4 cylinder diesel engines as the 5 cylinders are more reliable and have a nice sound as well. They are also more unique.
May I say I’ve watched your video on vw Tiguan, and now this Volvo , and you really know your stuff, excellent explanation brilliant in-depth description to all details, 10\10 👍I’m going for the XC60 d4 190ps in manual over the Tiguan 2.0 tdi 150 ps manual, as think Volvo is lot better quality

Nice review. Video quality looks like it was filmed on a camera from 1998 though :)
i got the t6 version and i love it more then enough pep with the 300 hp awd
What's the fuel economy like?
Mine’s the Polestar tuned T6… slightly more HP at 325.
@@wastwhg timestamp [26:12] 26 ish... probably less so on mine. Heheh!
My LOLVo is completely mad.
Thank you for such informative video. This has aided me to get an insight as to the car I want
Glad it was helpful!
Mine’s the T6 R Design Polestar, 325 horses. Pure madness. Heheh!
I'm about to buy a used XC60D5 from a dealer nearby. This vid made my decision much easier. Thx for that!

Much appreciated!
What about boot and seats down etc ?
The UK taxation mentality is insane. With people like that running the country I expect most productive people would escape as soon as they're able.
Great review very thorough. Thanks. Confirmed my choice with the d4 2wd version. Excited to get it now 🤩
Appreciate that thank you.
Most owners say they get around 40 mpg !!
