This will be perfect for backpacking, good enough for the basics and could be made to do a bit more in a pinch to start a fire. As an emergency or backup knife having to use your shoe lace or something temporarily to add a lanyard for more grip when using it "heavy" isn't a huge deal for me.
Great review. Very similar to the Gerber GDC Money Clip. I've owned mine for years as well and seems to still be available on the Gerber website as well as others.
If they made the hole big enough for a middle finger to go in you could actually grab it. Honestly i thought i was gonna love it and want to get one until you pulled it out and i realized you can't get a finger in it. I'm looking for a new little tiny fixed blade, that would be perfect but you can't grab it. I'm looking for basically that exact thing but the handle does need to be at least big enough to use it. Thank you for doing a review on it. God bless
this is a neat little knife, but a traditional sheath could be so much smaller. I have a 5.11 knife thats got a similar sheath/ locking system and it works alright, but offers nothing over a normal sheath.
They must have upgraded the steel. I have the old one, but it is some #CR# Chinesium steel. I still like mine... Good for mounting on the strap on your backpack...
Not hating on you or your channel but as a knife guy, i feel like id be more prone to cut myself with a knife that small than to defend myself or provide any utility. Fixed blades have a place but we make folders for blades this small for a reason.
the design is similar enough you woudl have to see literally who had it in production 1st to see who copied who lol but im willing to b\e if you did enough research you would find the same deign from the 80's lol not muc is actually original with knives
I bought it for $10.....A good piece of steel for the money.....but useless design....Grip too short. Grip lock on sheath makes it hard to remove. Could probably cut off lock...and will still have enough retention. I hope someone someday makes a 3D printed handle. More apt to cut yourself with this design.
, He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22, Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23, Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
first knife guy I see that's straightforward, no frills and very informative, keep it up.
He's been doing this only for a decade and a half! Who is this? Late2daGame?
Money clip option. Cool.
Really dig this lighting and black back drop for the videos recently
thanks for the feedback im working on a lighter color table in the future well see
It’s a AFFORDABLE thumb dagger which is like genuinely severely needed in the knife world
Why
@ because they’re handy and they’re fun.
I bet you could carve a notch out of the lock ring to allow paracord
Love the black slick background
thanks its a bare plastic folding table lol Im working on a permanent table with a lighter background well see how it goes..

That was my first thought as well. This would be great as a simple and lightweight backpacking knife.

do you think you could use some gutted paracord to make a lanyard? seems like it might be low profile enough to still fit.
Huh, neat lil’ knife. I just now ordered one on amazon for $15.99
nice let me know what you think when you get it
you could have a paracord "handle" with a clip that you keep on your belt so that when you want it to have a handle you can just clip it on.

It's just made for a pinch grip and doing light draw cuts. Essentially a package opener.
@SMS2884 it is kinda cool
Try the CRKT Minimalist

Love the videos, when was the last time you made a cigar review

i.e 8CR13MoV , 3CR13MoV etc...
yes its almost the same as 440C in MANY ways...
I love this!! Thanks for sharing!😊🔪👍
1:08 if you’re here to see the knife

@@cutlerylover right? i got a gerber gdc years ago as a gift. This is my first time seeing schrades so who knows. Maybe theyre both copies haha
Looks cool/good!
Not error but poor QC. I do have one and it is a fun knife for carry.
Assault money clip
I use to carry ChapStick in my jeans coin pocket. Until I left in the wash. I suspect that if this is too small and stealthy, the same will happen.

Looks like junk to me
then id suggest you dont buy one lol
I’ve owned this for 6 years. Absolute garbage..
