Transcription: You are blessed beings indeed! I am that one that you know as Jesus, and this lesson brings to mind things like gossip and telling stories about people. And it is important for you, when you witness these behaviors in yourself, to begin to use these lessons as a counter to that tendency. Now, remember, this is a training program - we are not seeking for perfection from you! You are learning how to completely behave differently. You are learning how completely to understand a new way of looking at things, a new language. You would not expect yourself to learn to be fluent in Russian in a month or a year. You understand that you must immerse yourself in a practice to learn another language. You must even travel to another country to truly become bilingual, and that is really what we are seeking to do here. We are seeking to teach you another language. So when you reflect on behaviors that you are witnessing in yourself, first of all, acknowledge that you are witnessing them. There is a behavior, there is a body saying things, and then there is you saying, "Ah! Look at you gossiping about Susie or Jane!" Who is the witness? The witness is the being that is connected to Source. The body that is playing out the ego's plan for salvation can be seen and witnessed by you. So we do not want you to identify with the "you" with the small "y" that is gossiping. We want you to step back and be the big "You", the You with the big "Y", the one that is aware, and say, "Ah! Look at what you're doing! There are two 'yous' - how interesting that there are two 'yous'! Who's in charge here of this body?" This is what we are seeking for you to see, that there is an unevolved and an evolved aspect of your consciousness. The unevolved is that body-identified ego consciousness that seeks to attack, and divide, and conquer and take; and then there is this other, observant, less reactive, kinder, loving, aware part of your consciousness. And we are seeking to develop that as the predominant energy. The trouble is, with these [thought?] systems, is that they are complete [thought?] systems. So when you are in the ego, you are not observing the ego. When you are angry at someone, you are down in the battleground. When you are the observer of your behavior, you have stepped above the battleground, and you are able to make different decisions. So observe where you play out your grievances. Observe where you tell stories about people. Observe that and begin to witness that you do understand that there are two "yous" here. There is the one in the battleground that takes over sometimes, and then there is the loving, kind and seeking, awakening part of your consciousness. In some mythologies, they say it is the "Dark Wolf" and the "White Wolf", the "Black Wolf" and the "White Wolf". Which one are you going to feed? We are now only feeding the White Wolf. We are now only feeding that conscious, loving awareness. And so observe when you do these negative behaviors, and understand that that is not who you are. Let them go and see that this behavior is what separates you from being above the battleground position all the time. Every time you step down into your grievances, you are at war. You are IN it, and you will suffer, not because you are being punished, but because you are down in the battleground; you are in dualistic teachings. You are in the, "There are good guys and bad guys, and I am the innocent one, and you are the bad one!" And this is why forgiveness is such an important practice, because in practicing forgiveness, once you have participated in the dualistic battleground, you are once again stepping above the battleground and saying, "I do not want to continue that war that I was participating in!" As you evolve, as you learn, as you practice, as you come to identify with these lessons and with this teaching, you will find more peace, and you will begin to choose voluntarily to step above the battleground. You will see that indulging your grievances is not worth it. You do not like the feeling. You do not like the seeds that it sows, and you do not like the bitter crop that is the harvest. I am that one that you know as Jesus, and we will see you again tomorrow.
LESSON 72 Holding grievances is an attack on God’s plan for salvation. 1. While we have recognized that the ego’s plan for salvation is the opposite of God’s, we have not yet emphasized that it is an active attack on His plan, and a deliberate attempt to destroy it. In the attack, God is assigned the attributes which are actually associated with the ego, while the ego appears to take on the attributes of God. 2. The ego’s fundamental wish is to replace God. In fact, the ego is the physical embodiment of that wish. For it is that wish that seems to surround the mind with a body, keeping it separate and alone, and unable to reach other minds except through the body that was made to imprison it. The limit on communication cannot be the best means to expand communication. Yet the ego would have you believe that it is. 3. Although the attempt to keep the limitations that a body would impose is obvious here, it is perhaps not so apparent why holding grievances is an attack on God’s plan for salvation. But let us consider the kinds of things you are apt to hold grievances for. Are they not always associated with something a body does? A person says something you do not like. He does something that displeases you. He “betrays” his hostile thoughts in his behavior. 4. You are not dealing here with what the person is. On the contrary, you are exclusively concerned with what he does in a body. You are doing more than failing to help in freeing him from the body’s limitations. You are actively trying to hold him to it by confusing it with him, and judging them as one. Herein is God attacked, for if His Son is only a body, so must He be as well. A creator wholly unlike his creation is inconceivable. 5. If God is a body, what must His plan for salvation be? What could it be but death? In trying to present Himself as the Author of life and not of death, He is a liar and a deceiver, full of false promises and offering illusions in place of truth. The body’s apparent reality makes this view of God quite convincing. In fact, if the body were real, it would be difficult indeed to escape this conclusion. And every grievance that you hold insists that the body is real. It overlooks entirely what your brother is. It reinforces your belief that he is a body, and condemns him for it. And it asserts that his salvation must be death, projecting this attack onto God, and holding Him responsible for it. 6. To this carefully prepared arena, where angry animals seek for prey and mercy cannot enter, the ego comes to save you. God made you a body. Very well. Let us accept this and be glad. As a body, do not let yourself be deprived of what the body offers. Take the little you can get. God gave you nothing. The body is your only savior. It is the death of God and your salvation. 7. This is the universal belief of the world you see. Some hate the body, and try to hurt and humiliate it. Others love the body, and try to glorify and exalt it. But while the body stands at the center of your concept of yourself, you are attacking God’s plan for salvation, and holding your grievances against Him and His creation, that you may not hear the Voice of truth and welcome It as Friend. Your chosen savior takes His place instead. It is your friend; He is your enemy. 8. We will try today to stop these senseless attacks on salvation. We will try to welcome it instead. Your upside-down perception has been ruinous to your peace of mind. You have seen yourself in a body and the truth outside you, locked away from your awareness by the body’s limitations. Now we are going to try to see this differently. 9. The light of truth is in us, where it was placed by God. It is the body that is outside us, and is not our concern. To be without a body is to be in our natural state. To recognize the light of truth in us is to recognize ourselves as we are. To see our Self as separate from the body is to end the attack on God’s plan for salvation, and to accept it instead. And wherever His plan is accepted, it is accomplished already. 10. Our goal in the longer practice periods today is to become aware that God’s plan for salvation has already been accomplished in us. To achieve this goal, we must replace attack with acceptance. As long as we attack it, we cannot understand what God’s plan for us is. We are therefore attacking what we do not recognize. Now we are going to try to lay judgment aside, and ask what God’s plan for us is: What is salvation, Father? I do not know. Tell me, that I may understand. Then we will wait in quiet for His answer. We have attacked God’s plan for salvation without waiting to hear what it is. We have shouted our grievances so loudly that we have not listened to His Voice. We have used our grievances to close our eyes and stop our ears. 11. Now we would see and hear and learn. “What is salvation, Father?” Ask and you will be answered. Seek and you will find. We are no longer asking the ego what salvation is and where to find it. We are asking it of truth. Be certain, then, that the answer will be true because of Whom you ask. 12. Whenever you feel your confidence wane and your hope of success flicker and go out, repeat your question and your request, remembering that you are asking of the infinite Creator of infinity, Who created you like Himself: What is salvation, Father? I do not know. Tell me, that I may understand. He will answer. Be determined to hear. 13. One or perhaps two shorter practice periods an hour will be enough for today, since they will be somewhat longer than usual. These exercises should begin with this: Holding grievances is an attack on God’s plan for salvation. Let me accept it instead. What is salvation, Father? Then wait a minute or so in silence, preferably with your eyes closed, and listen for His answer.
Jesus, our greatest brother, you are so wise and kind. I enjoy every single lesson tremendously, Jesus always brings up such easy examples that everyone of us can relate to. Tina we can't thank you enough for doing the work you do. So grateful to be incarnated in this particular timeline, and I wouldn't want to have it any other way. Much love to Jesus, Ananda and all my brothers and sisters in the light (physical and none physical beings) 😇🌹
Tina, as I asked God the question in today's lesson, this is what I heard: 'Salvation is the unification of humanity as 'One' aligned with love, to return to Me as One light' 💫💙💫 So touching!!
This is such a great lesson, I think I might listen to it over and over and over again. Thank you for this! Each day and each lesson has been invaluable and I am learning so much. I already feel some changes in myself.
Incredibly good timing these lessons on grievances are for me. They have prevented me from what some may view as a legally appropriate response to a highly charged issue but what I was able to recognize as retaliation due to the lessons. Feels better to behave!! Ha! 💎
I will listen to this one again today. SPLENDID.Thank you Jesus. You always show up for me and I'm so grateful. Thank you Tina for being the conduit.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thankyou Tina ans Jesus..This lesson as Jesus explains it has brought me so much clarity..I will listen again and again til it sinks into my consciousness..sending so much love to you and all my brothers and sisters on this path to love...😊💖💕💚
Thank you Tina, the lessons are beginning to flow more logically and naturally in my mind. D uring the day I am seeing the truth of them playing out on the "stage of life". 🙏💖
Thankyou so so much Tina & JC, for putting me onto this. I originally started ACIM only listening to utube, now I do both, as in read my daily lesson google, then listen to it again here. ACIM is the only bit of literature that’s a perfect manual for life regardless of circumstances. I will be doing this until I completely embody my higher self. Just had another awakening. From repeating the manta “I am all I am, I am free, I am free” beautifully contrasts some ACIM Lesson titles “what Eva suffers is not a part of me” and “I’m not a body I’m free” as we are just love and light after all, so what’s all the fuss about 😂
Ach, the commentary today is SO helpful...I found the Lesson itself dense (ego resistance, anyone?) and then the explication is so darned clear. Much appreciated, today and every day, Tina and J. 🙏💜

Tina, Is the Ego god's creation? Or is the ego the body's creation? And if God created the ego, why would the ego want to control the mind? Why would God give us two Yous to deal with?
God did not give us two "you's" - we chose to have an ego, the small "you" whereas alignment with Jesus/ Holy Spirit is the big "You." It is odd to have/choose an ego but we were given freewill so we can choose the lighter path and make healthier choices away from the ego completely.
Can anyone identify the words before "systems" in the sentence at this point in the video: th-cam.com/video/aIu7TOl8R-k/w-d-xo.html "The trouble is with these ? systems, is that they are complete ? systems" Thanks!
Leviticus 20:6 New International Version (NIV) 6 “‘I will set my face against anyone who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute themselves by following them, and I will cut them off from their people. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 New International Version (NIV) 4 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. Galatians 5:16-24 New International Version (NIV) 16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[a] you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. John 3:19-20 New International Version (NIV) 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. John 14:6 New International Version (NIV) 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Galatians 5:1 New International Version (NIV) Freedom in Christ 5 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Matthew 5:4 New International Version (NIV) 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Psalm 51:16-17 New International Version (NIV) 16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. 17 My sacrifice, O God, is[a] a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. John 15:4-8 New International Version (NIV) 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. John 14:27 New International Version (NIV) 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing
and rightdoing there is a field.
I’ll meet you there."
Yes it does. I LOVE that poem

This is such a great lesson, I think I might listen to it over and over and over again. Thank you for this! Each day and each lesson has been invaluable and I am learning so much. I already feel some changes in myself.
Thank You ✌️🧡
Very powerful lesson. Thank you Father. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Tina. 🙏
Incredibly good timing these lessons on grievances are for me. They have prevented me from what some may view as a legally appropriate response to a highly charged issue but what I was able to recognize as retaliation due to the lessons.
Feels better to behave!! Ha! 💎
Perfect timing for me as well
Thank you Jesus and Tina!!! 💕👍🏻💕🌟💫✨⭐️🦢
I will listen to this one again today. SPLENDID.Thank you Jesus. You always show up for me and I'm so grateful. Thank you Tina for being the conduit.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I wept when God spoke
Blessings.
My experience so alike as yours, and so appreciated too. Incredibly insightful.
Thank you Jesus, thank you Tina! XXX
❤️🙏
Lesson 72
Holding grievances is an attack on God's plan for salvation.
1. While we have recognised that the ego's plan for salvation is the opposite of God's, we have not yet emphasised that it is an active attack on His plan and a deliberate attempt to destroy it. In the attack, God is assigned the attributes which are actually associated with the ego, while the ego appears to take on the attributes of God.
2. The ego's fundamental wish is to replace God. In fact, the ego is the physical embodiment of this wish. For it is this wish which seems to surround the mind with a body, keeping it separate and alone and unable to reach other minds except through the body which was made to imprison it. The limit on communication cannot be the best means to expand communication. Yet the ego would have you believe that it is.
3. Although the attempt to keep the limitations which a body would impose is obvious here, it is perhaps not so apparent why holding grievances is an attack on God's plan for salvation. But let us consider the kinds of things which you are apt to hold grievances for. Are they not always associated with something a body does? A person says something we do not like; he does something that displeases us, he "betrays" his hostile thoughts in his behaviour.
4. We are not dealing here with what the person is. On the contrary, we are exclusively concerned with what he does in a body. We are doing more than failing to help in freeing him from its limitations. We are actively trying to hold him to it by confusing it with him and judging them as one.
6. The body's apparent reality makes this view of God quite convincing. In fact, if the body were real, it would be difficult indeed to escape this conclusion. And every grievance that you hold insists that the body is real. It overlooks entirely what your brother is. It reinforces your belief that he is a body and condemns him for it. And it asserts that his salvation must be death, projecting this attack onto God and holding Him responsible for it.
7. To this carefully prepared arena, where angry animals seek for prey and mercy cannot enter, the ego comes to save you. God made you a body. Very well. Let us accept this and be glad. As a body, do not let yourself be deprived of what the body offers. Take the little you can get. God gave you nothing. The body is your only saviour. It is the death of God and your salvation.
8. This is the universal belief of the world you see. Some hate the body and try to hurt and humiliate it. Others love the body and try to glorify and exalt it. But while it stands at the center of your concept of yourself, you are attacking God's plan for salvation and holding your grievances against Him and His creation that you may not hear the Voice of truth and welcome it as Friend. Your chosen saviour takes His place instead. It is your friend; He is your enemy.
9. We will try today to stop these senseless attacks on salvation. We will try to welcome it instead. Your upside-down perception has been ruinous to your peace of mind. You have seen yourself in a body and the truth outside you, locked away from your awareness by the body's limitations. Now we are going to try to see this differently.
10. The light of truth is in us, where it was placed by God. It is the body that is outside us and is not our concern. To be without a body is to be in our natural state. To recognise the light of truth in us is to recognise ourselves as we are. To see our Self as separate from the body is to end the attack on God's plan for salvation and to accept it instead. And wherever His plan is accepted, it is accomplished already.
11. Our goal in the longer practice periods today is to become aware that God's plan for salvation has already been accomplished in us. To achieve this goal, we must replace attack with acceptance. As long as we attack it, we cannot understand what God's plan for us is. We are therefore attacking what we do not recognise. Now we are going to try to lay judgement aside and ask what God's plan for us is:
"What is salvation, Father? I do not know. Tell me, that I may understand."
Then we will wait in quiet for His answer.
12. We have attacked God's plan for salvation without waiting to hear what it is. We have shouted our grievances so loudly that we have not listened to His Voice. We have used our grievances to close our eyes and stop our ears. Now we would see and hear and learn. "What is salvation, Father?" Ask and you will be answered. Seek and you will find.
13. We are no longer asking the ego what salvation is and where to find it. We are asking it of truth. Be certain, then, that the answer will be true because of Whom you ask. Whenever you feel your confidence wane and your hope of success flicker and go out, repeat your question and your request, remembering that you are asking them of the infinite Creator of infinity, Who created you like Himself:
"What is salvation, Father? I do not know. Tell me, that I may understand."
He will answer. Be determined to hear.
14. One or perhaps two shorter practice periods an hour will be enough for today since they will be somewhat longer than usual. These exercises begin with this:
"Holding grievances is an attack on God's plan for salvation. Let me accept it instead. What is salvation, Father?"
Then wait a minute or so in silence, preferably with your eyes closed, and listen for His answer.

Good morning 🙏♥️❌
❤️
And yet, father never said a word.
Tina, Is the Ego god's creation? Or is the ego the body's creation? And if God created the ego, why would the ego want to control the mind? Why would God give us two Yous to deal with?
God did not create the ego we create the body and so the ego is born the ego is just false belief
God did not give us two "you's" - we chose to have an ego, the small "you" whereas alignment with Jesus/ Holy Spirit is the big "You."
It is odd to have/choose an ego but we were given freewill so we can choose the lighter path and make healthier choices away from the ego completely.

Can anyone identify the words before "systems" in the sentence at this point in the video: th-cam.com/video/aIu7TOl8R-k/w-d-xo.html "The trouble is with these ? systems, is that they are complete ? systems" Thanks!
The trouble with these thought systems, is that they are complete thought systems
@@kimberlyjohnson7890 Thanks - but I'm still not convinced that the word is "thought" :-)
Leviticus 20:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 “‘I will set my face against anyone who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute themselves by following them, and I will cut them off from their people.
1 Timothy 4:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
4 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
Galatians 5:16-24 New International Version (NIV)
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
John 3:19-20 New International Version (NIV)
19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.
John 14:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Galatians 5:1 New International Version (NIV)
Freedom in Christ
5 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Matthew 5:4 New International Version (NIV)
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Psalm 51:16-17 New International Version (NIV)
16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17 My sacrifice, O God, is[a] a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart
you, God, will not despise.
John 15:4-8 New International Version (NIV)
4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you.
John 14:27 New International Version (NIV)
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
