I manifested this video! I was looking for a video to guide me for task 2, and this was uploaded today :) My test is day after tomorrow and hope to score well
Following your guidances and advices, I have been able to achieve my dream score of 8.5 writing a few weeks ago. My appreciation for you is simply ineffable. Thank you so much.
@ I have self-taught myself under the tips and lessons from my teachers (both irl and Chris) for 3 years now. My starting point was around the range of 2~2.5 wri back then.
Heyyyyy!!!! Thankyou for your guidance!!! I wrote my IELTS Academic test in December on the 31st but only recieved a 6.5 band score. I realised that I had written the wrong answer and that hindered my task completion score. So I did the IELTS again a few days back and recieved an 8 band score in writing!!!! And I got a 9 in listening and the remaining two went well (I got an 8.5 in both speaking and reading). I binge watched a lot of your videos and I would definitely recommend this channel!!
I got 7.5 overall band watching your writing task videos, just 2 days from my exam and your videos and the website helped me more than my online course. Thank you for these videos and all the resources!
congratulations! can you tell me how did you study? Any plans or advice?! Is it difficult for a person with 70% or let's say 65% English level for example... I'm looking for a Scholarship after a month but I don't have IELTS certificate yet. I'm hesitant.
@@mariacloud5517 I was in a similar place as well, but I feel with IELTS, in addition to english level it’s also about time management and confidence. I think the reason I scored less in writing was my inability to manage time effectively, like I feel I could have scored better if I had managed my time better and avoided silly mistakes. So practice writing and learn time management, at-least finish your writing exam 5 minutes before, so you can go over through the whole thing and this will let you spot silly mistakes. This was my experience prior to giving the real test, as I had less time to prepare, this realisation came to me quite late. Also, while speaking be calm and relaxed, and be confident just answer the question like you are talking to a friend, not an examiner. I feel I could have scored more, if I was relaxed because of my test anxiety I feel I got stressed for no reason. At least, this was my experience with the exam. And as for reading and listening, practice from the real test as Chris had mentioned, it will give you the confidence. Before that I had attempted mocks from fake websites and that hampered my confidence a bit. And at last, for me in listening maps questions were the most difficult one and I feel I loose focus during that as the recordings are quite boring to listen to so try maintaining that, in listening, focus is all matters. I hope this helps !
@@mariacloud5517 I was in a similar situation as well and I feel my level of english is also around 70%. I feel in IELTS other than the English level, confidence and time management matters a lot. If I had managed my time better, I am pretty sure I could have done some revision and avoid making silly mistakes. This is something I realised, when I was practising 2 days before my IELTS exam. In addition to this, while speaking be calm and confident, don’t think you are giving a test or be stressed that the examiner is going to ask very difficult questions and you will make some kind of mistake. I am pretty sure mistakes would be made, but don’t dwell on it while giving or before the exam. When, I gave my speaking, due to test anxiety I guess, I fumbled a bit and lost my confidence and ended up repeating things, which led me to having slightly lower score. Hey Chris! I just passed my ielts with an overall score of 8.0, with a prep time of only three days. I couldn’t have done it without your amazing videos. Thanks a lot 🫶
Hey Chris! My dad and I only had 2 weeks to study for our IELTS, so when I found your videos and realized how informative they are, I immediately shared them with my dad. He was so delighted, and we both learned a lot from your videos. We received our scores today: I got an 8.0, and my dad got a 6.0. Without you, my dad and I would hardly have been able to get this close and achieve these scores in such a short time. Thank you, Chris!
Here's my take, hope I get selected!! Taking my One-Skill Retake on the 24th of Jan and I need comments on my writing! I need a 7.5 or higher, but aiming for at least an 8.5! Food is one of the most important necessities for a person to live, if not the most important. Nowadays, people consume larger quantities of processed food than ever before. The reason for this could possibly be due to the convenience and cost-effectiveness that this kind of commodity provides. However, the possibility of illness and disease arising from its long-term consumption might occur. We are now living in a fast-paced environment where people are expected to accomplish tasks more rapidly to be able to do more. As a result, processed food was invented to provide consumers with the most efficient and convenient way of nourishing themselves. Food that originally took hours to prepare would now only take a few minutes to be ready. This allowed people to allocate more time for other activities in their day. Also, processed food is cheaper than other commodities like vegetables, fruit, and meat. This encourages households to gravitate toward the former because they can shop for more food while on a small budget. Given its convenience, and cost-effectiveness, this would naturally lead to people eating more of this product than before. On the other hand, we must consider the detrimental effects this might have, especially on one’s health. Processed food is known to contain a myriad of preservatives and chemicals. In fact, it is well-documented that long-term exposure to some of these ingredients like Nitrates, for example, are a risk-factor for developing a variety of cancers in the body. Furthermore, eating large amounts of processed food can lead to an individual eventually being out of shape and overweight. Down the line, this could possibly lead to cardiovascular disease like hypertension and atherosclerosis. In conclusion, due to the benefits of processed food like its convenience and affordability, it led to people buying more of this today. Nevertheless, we must not ignore the effects that this might have on our bodies in the future.
People have started consuming more and more processed food items now, as compared to the past. This stems from people having less time to cook at home due to their demanding lifestyles, and results in negative health impacts. This essay will delve into the reasons for the popularity of processed food among people, and its effects. One of the reasons for people preferring processed food is convenience. People have to put in more hours at work now, as opposed to the past, due to which they hardly get any time to cook their meals at home. Therefore, they are attracted to processed food items which are affordable, require little to no effort to prepare, and also appeal to the taste buds. For example, supermarkets across the world are now filled with processed items like cheese, sauces, frozen foods, etc. which are extremely popular among the masses. Although processed foods solve these problem in the short-term, they have been proven to have long-term negative health impacts. The consumption of whole foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables has reduced due to this, and has lead to people facing vitamin deficiencies. Various studies have also shown that highly processed food contains many preservatives and chemicals, which can lead to harmful side-effects such as digestion problems, weight gain, etc. In summary, it is due to the shift to a hectic lifestyle that people favour processed food items and it is fast becoming one of the causes of their deteriorating health.
thank you so much pell for your ultimate guidelines for all of listening, speaking, reading and writing. I took ielts exam last weekend and I got my target with only 1week practice..

Those rules she mentioned, in my opinion, should be considered more as guidelines for a better writing strategy than as strict black and white conditions that are gonna make one lose points. I don't see a problem in repeting words, specially if the word is a key one for the main topic of the essay and as long as it's not overly repetitive. I doubt that they would reduce the score taking in consideration isolated rules if the overall quality of the writing is decent. I'm preparing to do my IELTS Academic test soon and your videos are great! Truly helpful. Thanks a lot.
Hallo, Chris. It is an essay-version from me. People eat more processed food than they did in the past. Why is this? What are the effects of this? Many years ago, people didn’t consume processed food as much as we do today. This is because we work longer and improved our technics to process food farther, so, it gets us save time and make life easier. Nowadays, we have to work more and need to accomplish more in a single day than in the past. With busier schedule, individuals tend to plan their shopping list in advance and have a weekly grocery haul. For example, recent calculations showed that cutting, marinating, steam-tempering and cooling chicken pieces in advance on Sunday can save around 60 percent of people’s weekly time, compared to prepare them fresh every day with minimal processing. By trying to simplify daily life, we have developed plenty of food processing techniques and create wide variety of appliance for easier cooking. Thus, by reducing cooking time, we can afford to relax and rejuvenate after coming home late in the evening. For example, in 1970s, microwave ovens and modern kitchen machines were not common at all. However, today, we can cut a lot of vegetables at once, cook and preserve them in the freezer for a long time. When it’s time for dinner, just taking prepared food from the freeze and warming it in the microwave. In 5 minutes, delicious and nutritious meal is ready to enjoy. In conclusion, people tend to eat more processed food now compared to the past because there are plenty of “helpers” in the kitchen to do our life easier after a long working day and we don’t need cutting time into work to reach all task in our dynamic life.
Less than a month left to my exam .As I am watching your videos these days, I feel that I am nearly close to my decent score. Thank you for sharing with us valuable tips. Zarina from Uzbekistan 🇺🇿❤
Hello Chris , I just gave my ielts exam and got a band 7.5 , overall L-9, R-7, W-7, S-7, just by watching your videos and only 2 weeks preparation time. Thank you very much, you're the best out there
hey man, i did my ielts test with only 12 hours of preparation and binge watching your videos recent videos and scored a band 8. thank you for going over every detail and the heads up on what to expect in every part of the test. If it weren't for you i wouldn't have gotten the score i got. seriously though, anyone doing the test don't procrastinate..
Hi there congrats ! can you tell me how did you study? Any plans or advice?! Is it difficult for a person with 70% or let's say 65% English level for example... I'm looking for a Scholarship after a month but I don't have IELTS certificate yet. I'm hesitant.
Thank you so much, Chris. Here is my essay. People consume larger amounts of processed food than they used to many years ago. This is due to their hectic lifestyles, and as a result, more and more people have worse health than before. In the extremely competitive and expensive world, people tend to have more working hours than some decades ago to earn a better living for their families. This means they have to be at work earlier and come home later. Therefore they have less time for cooking at home and are used to buying ready-to-eat products on their way from work or at the weekend. That is cheaper and faster: they can have a family dinner by heating the food. Moreover, their children can serve themselves whilst their parents are still at work. In Toronto, for example, the streets and public transportation are usually overcrowded early in the morning and late in the evening with employees commuting home tired after long working hours without any desire to prepare food. The primary effect of eating highly processed food is the overall poor health conditions of the population. In other words, a large proportion of people especially children do not have a well-balanced diet containing all the vital nutrients and suffer from a variety of diseases that sometimes require special treatment. One of the widespread predicaments, for instance, is growing obesity among children and adults almost around the world. These obese people are the result of consuming highly processed food with ingredients harmful to human beings. In conclusion, the increasing consumption of processed products caused by a busy life with long working hours harms people’s health.
Hey Chris, I just wanted to convey my heartfelt thanks to you. When I started preparing, just 2 weeks ago, I was completely clueless on how to approach IELTS. Much appreciation for the hard work you have put in. Thanks !!

My reading, writing and listening is tomo. Please wish me well. Will come back hear with my results . It’s my first attempt.
Thank you, Chris. here is my essay Nowadays people consume more processed food than ever. This essay believes that this is majorly because of excessive workload. And with too much consumption people may suffer some serious consequence. People majorly resort to processed items due to their hectic schedules. In this modern age, people have extreme work pressure which takes a huge amount of their daily lives. After dedicating a long period of time to their jobs, it becomes hard for them to prepare their meals with a tired mind and body. For example, in the US almost every working household uses canned foods for their three time meals as they neither have time or energy to cook for themselves. These intakes of highly processed foods results in severe health problems. For preservation purposes, high levels of artificial agents and flavor enhancers are added in canned meals. But, our organs are not build to absorb or process these chemicals which leads to kidney damage, liver damage, gut health issues, etc. For instance, Doctors have found that artificial chesse found on burgers and hot-dogs have so much fat and chemicals in them that by weekly intake a person might suffer from long term heart issues and in the worst case blockages in the heart. In conclusion, due to the lack of work life balance people choose processed meals but as these items have extensive amount of unnatural substance heavy consumption of these foods might lead to different sorts of physical problems.

Hi, Chris! This is my essay for your last question. Hope you can give a feedback for it - - - - - - These days, people tend to eat more processed food than they did decades ago. This is because they don’t have time to cook and this habit can cause several health problems including obesity. Consuming processed food can save our time in this fast-pacing-world. Specifically for people who work in competitive industries, cooking isn’t their main priority, because they are expected to came up at the office early and get home late with short time for break. People don’t have time to cook their meal anymore because they have so many things to do in a short period of time, and processed food often becomes the solution because it’s easier to get and can be saved for a long period of time. In Jakarta, for example, employees who are expected to be at the office at 9 AM should be on the road at 3 or 4 AM to avoid traffic jam, this makes cooking food from scratch for breakfast is harder than just cooking instant noodle that only costs them 10 minutes, and this also happens in lunch and dinner time. The main effect of this lifestyle is that it can increase the number of several health problems, including obesity. Processed foods are usually contains high sugars and calories, and also lack of other nutrients that the body actually needs. Those sugars and calories end up becoming fat, and combined with other lifestyle such as lack of physical activities, people are becoming more prone to obesity. World Health Organization reported that the rate of obesity is higher than it was a decade ago, and this correlates with the increasing number of processed food consumption. Besides of its advantage by making our life easier in term of finding something to eat, processed food brings several disadvantages, especially when it comes to health. With its high sugars and calories, making it to higher body fat, that can lead to obesity.

Thanks for the video Chris. Here you can find my essay. Over the last decades with new researches done in chemistry field the food market has changed radically. Society has known many new types of processed foods respect the past. Thanks to all the technology innovations in various branches of engineering which together have contributed to increasing the types of production techniques. The speed and quality of each process has been dramatically improved with considerable benefits for the food supply system and people. With the advent of the modern era our society from agricultural has become progressively industrialised and with it many foods as well. Chemistry and mechanics industries have surely been two of the biggest players in this food revolution. The major control on the chemical composition has made possible to prepare foods in physical states easier to transport in any part of the globe while the mass production a lower average price with a higher affordability. But what has directly increased the processed food consumption in this historical phase is the movement of people from the countryside to the towns and cities. Those who began to live in urban areas were bounded to obtain their food mainly from the industrial supply chain instead of making by themselves. The effects we can see of this major consume are both positive and negative and both linked to the great the great variety and availability of foods. On the positive side, the chemical treatment on processed foods allows each person today to choose and find the best solution according personal taste and dietary needs. As instance, respect the past we can think how many malnutrition-related diseases have disappeared. On the negative side, we are now daily exposed to any kind of junk food. Salty snacks, energy drinks and sugary foods are the main examples to talk about food addiction especially if the taste is altered to make them more appetising. As consequence our society has seen the highest number of overweight and obese people in the history. Quoting the World Obesity Atlas 2024, it is projected that their number will reach 1.53 billion in 2035. To sum up, the technological transition of the last century has increased the quality but also led people to eat more processed foods in their lives with evident pros and cons.

You tried. Well done
Please make this kind of video about speaking part🙌🙌
Tomorrow i have my exam . Wish me luck 🍀 . Will comment after getting positive results.

Hey Chris, I got band 7 with only 1.5 months of preparation. Your videos helped me so much. Thank you!!!
Great job! Congratulations!
I will be attending examination tomorrow, wish me luck 🤞
Good luck!
Thank you very much , I took IELTS in summer and got 6.5 from writing and the only problem was generating ideas

Congratulations!
Thanks for doing such a great job 😊
You're very welcome!
Thank you for the wonderful video 😊
Tomorrow I have my IELTS exam . Please wish me luck ! Hope to get the desired marks

Best of luck with your scores! You got this!
Thank you, Chris.
here is my essay
Nowadays people consume more processed food than ever.
Thank you for your help❤
You're welcome. I hope you find it helpful.

These days, people tend to eat more processed food than they did decades ago.
Interesting question for you Where do you live? In Canada?
I am so relieved I have found your channel after desperately searching for a suitable one for me! My academic exam is in 5 days and I need a solid 8, but I haven’t had much time to prepare. (Let’s say I have a week only). Your videos are such a great help. Thank you for what you are doing!

I got a 7.5 All thanks to you, I took the decision of giving IELTS on 31st December 2024 and I didn’t really think much of it cause it was an ENGLISH exam I picked the date of 9th January 2025 because my father loves the number 9 and asked me to(haha), I came across your channel learned what to do and what not to do even if you are an avid speaker in these days that I had. Hey Sir !
I don't know who you are but your videos helped me to get 7 overall.
That's good to know. Congratulations!
Tomorrow is my IELTS exam. Wish me luck 😊😊 Thanks for helping me in throughout my journey 🤗🤗
