i wonder how many players can run 12 straight games against Stephen Hendry when trailed 1-4 and make it 13-4 , that's only One Ronnie..

    • @IAmTheEg7

Mark Williams ran 13 frames in a row against Quinten Hann in 2003 in the second round after losing the first two frames. Although Ronnie also won 10 frames in a row against Barry Hawkins in the 2016 Masters final after losing the first.

This is the best snooker ever played even though he played very well in 2012, nothing beats the form he got to in this tournament as it went on.

A great compilation of Ronnie's best shots. Some incredible shots played by Ronnie here. He was 1-4 behind Stephen Hendry and then went 13-4 up. Only Ronnie could do that. Also when Ronnie downed half that huge bottle of water at 01:55 it makes me laugh every time.

For Ronnie to demolish Hendry in two world semi finals is just incredible, totally awesome, Hendry was still a great player at 2004 and 08 tournaments, and I don't believe he would have allowed any other player to hand him such huge defeats,he may have been beaten, but not by the amount O'Sullivan beat him, Ronnie was just out of this world at these world championships.

Ronnie's 7th world title was 1 of his best. You could see how much he wanted it. 3-0 down to Dave Gilbert in the first round he came back and beat him, then he beat both Mark Allen and Stephen Maguire comfortably which was impressive. He then had John Higgins in the semis, a player he has so much respect for and has had trouble beating him in the last few meetings, but he beat him convincingly to make the final against Judd, another opponent Ronnie has had trouble beating, but he won, despite having a bad session. I believe he would have beaten anybody in 2022 tournament. Mark Selby, Neil Robertson, Mark Williams, any opponent i believe Ronnie was totally focused and determined to win this 7th. You could see at the end when he was hugging Judd how much it had taken out of him both physically and mentally. At 46 years old that was 1 of the great sporting achievement's. He was also the world's oldest number 1.
      Well done Ronnie.

to see Ronnie with his two children here at the end, and then to see them at the 2022 World Championships, all grown up .... those two images (past and present) certainly speak to Ronnie's longevity. i am beginning to agree with the commentator who said, "There will never be another Ronnie O'Sullivan!"

Simply the greatest 20 majors 37 ranking titles the most premier leagues the most centuries and 147s keeping hendry Higgins Williams Selby robbo ding trump now Wilson at bay entertaining us for decades keeping snooker afloat in the most competitive era ever keeping sponsors happy and viewing figures up all on his own terms never been a slave to the game or politically perfect...... Waisted 9 years of his career partying due to the lack of discipline and appetite and still has these numbers, his aura and presence is unique nobody like him everything he does makes headlines his longevity like his achievements are legendary at 43 he wins the inaugural coral series beating judd again and robbo in the final to return to world number 1 and now at 44 he wins the world title for the 6th time in a format he hates, pure genius he's box office and the only snooker player in history who is a brand 👌he owns the shanghai masters and champ of champs a tournament designed with him in mind🤔

I am so glad that Ronnie made mincemeat out of Hendry, after all the times he beat my favourite player Jimmy White in the world title,so glad Ronnie came along to take the baton of being the people's champion, after Alex Higgins and Jimmy White, only this time we have a people's champion who is also the greatest the game has ever seen, well done Ronnie, and thanks.

First round, Liu Chiang from China then two time winner, Mark Williams (before he won a third in 2018) and his maximum break that proved a winning frame. Next, Liang Wenbo (almost nine years before their enthralling Masters match). I must say that the Chinese player played as well as he could. Ronnie faced Stephen Hendry and the latter's first century break in the semi final is a reminder why he was seven times world champion. But Ronnie steamrollered him, a barrage of breaks and then defeated Ali Carter in the final.
