You don’t have to cut the trash bag - just line everything up in the closet, drag the bags up over a bunch of clothes and tie at the base of the hanger. On moving day, pull them down off the rack and put in the truck like dry cleaning! You carry it all by the hanger so there’s zero damage to the bag, and you can reuse them for move-in clean up.
Yep, I do the same thing, get the bags with the draw string.
Had to think what you were referring to. So it's pulling the bags up from the bottom of the clothing up to the top of the hanger and tying it at the top.

I am so surprised you didnt just move into the house you bought and reno while living there like most people do! Extra surprised bc you're so hands on and have such a good eye I figured you would be there to do some of the work! I love your design ideas for this apartment but I personally would just use what I have instead of investing anything into it since it will be for such a short amount of time and you already have so many awesome pieces!! Perhaps you can save money on things like knobs by spray painting those ones! As far as the rugs and such go, if you don't plan to use them in your new place, I wouldn't spend the money. They can be quite pricey even on the cheap end and we don't need your home to be "perfect" to come watch! I personally would love to see how to repurpose things you've already got and how to decorate on a next to 0 budget as many people rent and can't afford bigger things or new furniture etc with each move. I love how homey you make everywhere you've lived and you have such a great eye! I hope you don't take this as critical as I am just trying to say that being frugal for now will allow you to buy your vision for your house! A mortgage and rent isn't cheap esp with reno's and if you were living in a tent we know you would make it amazing! Praying the work on your house goes smoothly and comes in under budget!!!
I ageee. Repurposing would make sense for such a short stay. I think it’s wasteful to keep buying new stuff.
@@isabellegrenier6047 Ahn has such a good eye I was a bit taken back by all the plans for purchases. The shelves from her old bathroom would make a great entry shoe rack, some command hooks on the wall above to hold Oliver's leash, her bag and whatever Jonathan needs. A flower pot for an umbrella if it's particularly rainy. Her other bedroom could basically move right on in without buying fabrics and such for a canopy,.. I mean nothing malicious as it's their money and their home, I just feel that their place was so well designed that it should be next to free to make this place a temporary home. If it was me, any purchases made would be intended for my bigger picture, which would be the new house. Especially pricey items like rugs and pieces of furniture. Plus, it keeps things out of the landfills and helps save money. 💖
Maybe the house will be an air bnb after they leave or a rental property.

Thx...I have my own tips for moving across the entire country 12 times in 3 years with toddlers & pets.
IMHO ...I would never put the "office" in the bedroom.....that is one place it should NOT be in......find a corner in the living space.
TVs/Media out of the bedroom also. The bedroom needs to be a 'respite' in the living space.

I'm thinking rugs 2 or 3 fit the space, but I kind of prefer *rug 2* because of how well it matches all the colours on the furniture pieces and wall paintings while still keeping the space looking minimal. Rug 3 has too much of the peachy pink colour going on, but still does the best work of focusing the attention of the eyes on the furniture. Either would work perfectly tbh!

The trash bag idea is genius! I recently moved and purged a lot, used some boxes from old Amazon purchases but I bought a lot of new boxes at $2 a pieces. Pricey

Rug 1, the black/bold pattern will compliment the furniture and break up the monochromatic look....it will make the room pop.
Recently when I moved I took home all the xerox boxes and paper wrappers, computer and supply boxes. I lucked out did not have to buy boxes which can be pretty expensive.
Whichever you choose Anh will look magical, you are very good at what you do I don’t think you need viewers input 😉❣️

Such great tips! I’ll definitely use the trash bag one. One thing that helped me was saving paper grocery bags and using them a packing paper to prevent objects from moving/breaking in boxes.😄

Great tips and awesome ideas for the apartment décor. When we moved into our house the cardboard boxes hack is so real! We went into sears store and they gave us all the boxes for free! no need to buy boxes at all! I say this to everybody that is moving , get those boxes from any store! Thanks for sharing!

Love that you have a balcony!! Plants are an awesome way to make an apartment feel cozy. Looking at the balconies view makes me think It would be an awesome opportunity to use some plants to hide some of that asphalt view. Cannot wait to see you use your design skills on that space.

Tbh I wouldn't choose a rug for the dining table because if something like liquid or food falls on it, that'll be a mess! But since it's your house, it's your choice to have it :) I would maybe say rug 3 because the pink color matches with the decor pretty nicely in the background

hullo! i just wanted to mention that it can be fast to use the magic wand tool to select and delete unwanted background as opposed to tracing out the object (the magic wand works especially well when the background is distinct from the object like the picture of the couch you share). maybe you already knew that, but i hope that might help if anyone's every looking to save time on future projects
