- A crowdsourcing campaign to buy a Bayraktar TB2 drone for Ukraine is nearing its target of 5 million euros. Lithuanians have donated about 4 million euros so far to the drive launched on May 25. Beshta Petro, Ukraine's ambassador to Lithuania, said ordinary people raising money for the Bayraktar purchase was “unbelievable”.

I have a house in Lithuania, where I go from time to time, and was in business there. The Lithuanians are very aware of the Russian threat, after many were sent to Siberia in and after WWII by Russia, and many murdered also. They are a proud people, and are in the forefront of help to others. Landsbergis, the current Foreign Secretary, comes from a line of politicians who were very fair and just, and his ancestor is a former President. I knew Lithuania would there to help, they always help the oppressed.

Lithuania used to be very corrupt, but these days is far more open to inspection; Russia is among the most corrupt in the "civilised" world, it was dreadful when I was living there. I had to pay for everything I needed apart from groceries, in dollars, the ruble being classed as less attractive.

Baykar Technologies, the producer of the Bayraktar drones, gave Lithuania a TB2 drone free of charge and asked them to send collected 5 million Euros to Ukraine as humanitarian aid.

Well done Lithuania 🇱🇹 I'm proud of you and disgusted with Germanies lack of compassion. You would have thought that realising der Fuhrer Putin is today's Hitler would have shamed them into sending aid to Ukraine...
Germany and Japan have enforced constitutions that prohibit them from certain things, like the supply of arms to non-NATO countries.
Also Ukraine is demanding stuff Germany can't just deliver. Tanks and planes have to be produced and soldiers be trained for first. A modern IFV isn't something mass produced that is on stock. Germany sends what it has. They don't have hundreds of Leopards laying around and sending it's complete Army equipment isn't a solution either.
@@patriciatutaki3322 Germany is able to send weapons to Ukraine. It is the fault of the previous German government and ties to Putin that stopped NATO sending arms to Ukraine in 2014 and slowed the German response lately.
The German government has started to send heavy weapons including excellent artillery pieces.
You can add France on to that list also.
France Germany and turkey are the 3 nations to blame for NATO failure in defending Ukraine. They must remember "united we stand divided we fall".

I am from little old New Zealand. We are small but our Prime Minister offered Ukraine all the help we could and the Ukrainian President said every bit helps! We offered some artillery and some advisors to train Ukrainian gunners and some Kevlar body armor. Come on Germany and France get off your ass and support the Ukrainians. You either fight Russia in Donestk or Paris and Berlin.

I arrived in Lithuania many years ago as the last Soviet convoys were leaving, and spent a year or so there. There are many characteristics I would say are similar between the people and culture I encountered there, and the different aspects of Ukrainian culture we have seen since this war started. Distinct differences too, but strong common traits. A dry sense of humour, a certain irreverent or strongly egalitarian attitude, and something that doesn’t out itself out there, but is more reactive - a strong fortitude, determination in adversity.

Both France and Germany need to step up.

In the Czech Republic we have a crowd funding initiative for Ukainian weapons too. Individuals have already sent more than fifty million dollars for weapons, and the government has also sent tank, IFVs, artillery and helicopters. Together the civilised peoples of the world can stop Moscow's barbarian horde of murderers, thieves and rapists.
I recommend you to watch movie Wolyn (Hatred in English) to see who is murder, barbarian and so. I am pretty sure you are going to be surprised!
