- This is the yearly, temporary installment of our home Spooky Town display for 2024, featuring hundreds of pieces from Lemax.
This whole thing started as a small display for trick-or-treaters and became something of its own monster.
We make all the styrofoam mountains and risers, as well as the structural platforms and levels.
Sometimes we fabricate parts of the buildings and characters. For instance, we made one previously missing skeleton mine cart rider on the Black Mountain Coal Mine, one octopus arm on the Oct-O-Squeeze, the pirate rider on the Oct-O-Squeeze, one riding couple on the Tunnel of Terror, and lots of other small pieces that were either missing when we bought them or something else.
We maintain our own rides and buildings and would like to give a shout out of thanks to the Random Junk Channel for always being a help when needed.
Also a word to ALL the great sellers on eBay who made this possible for so much less: Thank you!!!
One of the best displays I’ve ever seen
Thank you!
This is even better than the historically fabulous display at the former YankeeCandle in Williamsburg, Virginia. This one tops all.
Amazing village...great video...thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Holy Halloween! That is an amazing Spooky Town 2024! That is inside your house? Wow!
Thank you!
Hey Justin! This is Jason (Linda's grandson). We are having a holiday dinner, and I was able to bring up your video to show to her since she doesnt seem to get the emails. She loves it! She loves the new lemax buildings. There were quite a few we didn't recognize that looked great. She can tell you really put your heart into it. She was wondering if it's up year long or if you take it down and reset it every year. Anyways, it looks amazing, and she is so happy that she could be a part of a tradition your family has enjoyed for so many years. Happy holidays!!
Great to hear from you Jason! So glad she finally got to see it! We take the display down right after Halloween and begin planning the Christmas village (see the other video on this channel for the 2024 Christmas display). So currently we have that other display up. Hopefully you can show it to her!
We host an open house at Halloween and again at Christmas, and people come to see the different displays. Last night we had the Christmas open house and some other people who know Linda's displays were discussing them and relating how her displays also got them started. She inspired a lot of people, so please let her know!
