    Looking at Passing Map data of Rangers from the Hibs games reveals how incredibly narrow they now are but with a surprising twist. Looking at Passing maps reveals that Rangers in possession and on the attack play a formation of 2-3-4-1 with the 4 being positions towards the left of the pitch to favour the technical strengths of Expensive Loan Flop SIlva ( who has no pace). So on the attack Rangers become narrow in defence and midfield and then have 4 players up up the top of the pitch who try and offer ome width. SO this explains why Rangers are so wide open in Transitions even against average teams. Clement loads 4 player behinnd a single Striker and really its a very attacking set up and far more risky than the previous three managers set-up. In fact in attacking situations Rangers are totally exposed on both their Left and Right because Barasic stays high up the pitch he almost doubles up as a winger with Silva and Tavernier inverts into a central Right midfield position. I would be astonished if they played with this set-up for all the game against Celtc but they might do this Agressive tactic for the first 25 minutes. Essentially I predict Rangers deploying this wierd 2-3-4-1 formation for the first 25 minutes, because they know they have to score inside the first 25 minutes otherwise that tension from the stands will cascade on them and reduce their morale.

      Hi - thanks for that really interesting. My biased recall is Celtic traditionally struggle against gnarly physical TRFC sides. I;m sees this as a good potential match up. But anyway the pod is about Livingston 😂

      Our American Celt said right at the very start of this video that it was ONLY all about a review of the Livingston game & that we ALL had to wait until Friday for The Huddle Breakdown's preview of Sunday's Glasgow derby & Wee Enda also making a rare guest appearance, but instead of you just chilling & waiting until then, you choose to blatantly ignore the edict & already start inanely yapping about Sunday ya daft silly trucker.....

    Second time playing livi in the last few weeks. We handled the size differences a lot better than in the cup game. We were comfortable throughout the game so we learned ourlesson from cup game.

    I'll miss the Livingston stadium in the SPL but I won't miss the pitch. Its a shame because its a good atmosphere in there and one of the better venues in the SPL, but the worst playing surface.

    Is there a recorded stat for blocked shots? O'Riley seems to have a lot of them. I'd like to know what the averages are there. I don't know why he doesn't take an extra touch to open up space.

    • @alanmorrison5981
      @alanmorrison5981 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      An extra touch usually results in closed space. Top of the charts for blocked shots is (drum roll): Kyogo 1.01; O'Riley 0.91; Palma 0.67; Yang 0.64. So your instincts were good.

    • @Lupi33z
      @Lupi33z 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@alanmorrison5981 depends on the quality of the touch...for example I see Hatate able to create a space to shoot with his touch. Maybe in Matt's case he should take first time shots. Whatever he's doing he's too predictable.

    As long as the Ref has a quiet game, Celtic will probably take the 3 points. Nerves will be high, but the bulk of the pressure is on Rangers.
    Why? Because they know that the final league Derby is at CP. Simple as that.

      Disagree, more pressure on us. If we win we will in all probability be a point ahead after they play their game in hand, and with the next derby at home we would be strong favourites to win that and the league. If we lose the league is probably done. They know even if they lose they would still have a outside chance of winning the league, if we lose we have a very slim chance.
