tom brady could not have played in any era other than right now. had he played any time when quarterbacks were actual players, he would never have lasted. also, to me, the way qb's are protected now diminishes all of the passing records. when drew brees isn't allowed to be hit, how can he be compared to qb's like Johnny Unitas?
@@steveswangler6373 the game is so much faster and more complex now that Unitas and Namath and Stabler wouldn't even get drafted. Even someone like Fouts or Montana, the prototypes of the modern QB might not be able to keep up.
If we restore the mentality we had back then into our team, got a better line, got our hands on Amari Cooper god damn we would be vicious just like we were in the good days. Especially when we have Derek Carr as our quarterback he's most likely only going to improve over the years and become a deadly weapon.
