Tortured, abused and doped the kid and even punished the teenaged athlete instead of the adults and the coaching team. peak clownery.

Shame on CAS for giving a 15 year old a band that is harsher than any adult had received for the same exact medication. An American swimmer with the same medication only received a 6-month ban. A 15-month-old swimmer with two other medications on two different tests only received a verbal reprimand. The most talented skater in his history and they are tarnishing her reputation. They should blame her coaches and not her as in Russia things are different and students are under the complete control of their coaches

Russians should just quit doping and cheating. It's been going on for decades.

Agreed. And she was, at 15, ostensibly a protected person. Disgusting. I hope they are able to appeal this.

@rodg011 Kamila Valieva is 100% a Russian skater, google is free look it up. There is no "phobia" about Russia, just facts on how they consistently dope and cheat. Russia was already under sanctions for doping and cheating when Ms. Valieva was caught doping.

@@rodg011 Rubbish. Russia is long known for it's government sanctioned systemic doping of it's athletes.

What about her coaches? Eteri tutberizde should catch a permanent ban. Eteri's "coaching methods" are disgusting

the skating federations history of incompetence in judgements and rulings is really quite staggering

The worst part is after they missed the podium they missed out on all the enforcements that usually come from it. A medal now is too little too late but better than never for history's sake.

I feel so bad for her, a tennis player too had to be disqualified for this… but i still think it is unfair and i think they should give Kamila another chance. She doesn’t deserve this.
