    It doesn't take anywhere near 4 minutes to heat + 1 min to brew. I have this same model and whole process takes less than a minute. I also don't remove the water tank becuz it's easier to just take whatever cup you using to top off the water level. Oh and big bonus I feel like many ppl don't realize for whatever reason, but if you don't put any coffee into the machine then it's basically just a hot water dispenser. Which is great for ez instant ramen, grits, oatmeal, etc.

      @@ChrisBassettTV Yea if you haven't tried it for food, is worth experimenting with, tho I can personally vouch for it working great with the instant versions of grits, oatmeal, and ramen. With the ramen, would recommend letting the noodles sit in the water for at least 2 mins to bloat up and cook. With instant grits or oatmeal it's pretty much ready as soon as you get the water stirred in and the food to your preferred texture, and is just a matter of figuring out which cup size button matches with however much grits or oatmeal you put in your bowl.

      That’s a great idea, I’m definitely doing that with some spicy chicken ramen

    Great video! I have a question though, is the water filter necessary? And is that all you need to make coffee, like all you need are the cups but anything else necessary?
    Thanks

    • @ChrisBassettTV
      @ChrisBassettTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Tadia! No, the water filter is not necessary, it’s only to improve the taste of your coffee with filtered water. Also you only need the k-cups and water to brew a cup of coffee. Old style coffee makers needed a filter for the ground coffee, Keurig does not. Unless you purchase the additional cup with a filter screen (shown at the end of the video) to put your own ground coffee into it. Hopefully that helps, thanks for the positive feedback!

      Yes , you will need a backup coffee maker for when this thing breaks in less than 6 months

      @zenithzott9554 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bobafatt2155 I've had mine for around 2 years and no problems yet. I only occasionally use it for coffee since I don't drink coffee often, but I use it fairly often as just a hot water dispenser for things like ez instant ramen, grits, oatmeal, etc.

    Just bought a k.express and it did not come with instructions. Is this typical?
    I bought a pod to put my own coffee in and some of the grounds are in my coffee, how do l stop this?
    My keurig is 6, 8, 10 cups, can l make a 6 and then a 8 with the same pod, or do l need a new pod each time? Thank you!

    • @ChrisBassettTV
      @ChrisBassettTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Layannie! Thanks for the questions, helps the channel. Your Keurig should of come with instructions, strange but I think you can find something if you search “Keurig instruction manual”. As for grounds in your coffee, either the pod cup is defective or incompatible with the brewer. Also it’s possible it needs to be cleaned and needle mechanism is plugged or dirty. Typically the Keurig brews one cup of coffee per pod. I’ve never actually tried to brew more than one cup of coffee per pod, but I’m sure you could. Just open and re-close the lid in between cups… I’m pretty sure it would be a weaker cup of coffee the second time lol. Hope that helps, Let me know how it’s goes!

    hello, I've had this for 2 years and the plastic piece around the needle won't stay up,it fell down, I can use it just annoying after two years, the one I had before this one lasted six years and nothing ever broke.

    Where does the water filter go?

    • @ChrisBassettTV
      @ChrisBassettTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Vinah! You can purchase an optional water filter that goes on the bottom of the water tank, attached to the valve. I think they have a lifespan of 2 months. Supposed to keep the coffee tasting fresh. Hope they helps, thanks for the question!

    Wat do I do when it doesn't light up

    • @ChrisBassettTV
      @ChrisBassettTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Kourtney! Could be multiple things… if you know the outlet it is plugged into has power (possible reset tripped fuse/breaker/GFCI outlet) make sure you push the power button should light green, then lift and close the handle to select the blue lights for drink size. Hope that helps, thanks! 😁

      I guess it depends on where you live. Also, instead of filling from sink you could just filter your water elsewhere or use bottled water whatever, then put your water of choice into the machine.
