I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure it's called "taking liberties" with the song. EVERY artist does it at some point with one song or another. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
Fergie "taking liberties" with the National Anthem is an example of it NOT working xD

Can anyone tell me what songs are on Reggie's solo CD? I have messaged them a few times and got no response. If I'm going to by a CD, I at least want to know what's on it. They would probably sell more CDs if they would put the track listings on their website.

do u guys know that this song wasn't composed by a Christian composer? And it was composed for composers girlfriend?Why do we sing songs about gf/bf and say that it is for our God?God says the he wants all from us not just a half.

+twyster man Well, I was not familiar with its origins, but this I know: it has a very holy beat/rhythm, the words are spiritual and biblically-based (Exodus 19:4, for example), and it moves my heart to turn from sin and draw closer to Jesus. As such, this fits the bill as a wholesome Christian song. So rather than denouncing a song by looking for any "wrong" that we can find, perhaps we should flip the script and praise God for taking something that the devil had intended for evil and using it for good; not unlike the miracle of conversion in my life.
I'm surer they researched before singing. And furthermore not because God is not mentioned does not make it a bad song for christians not to sing. Knowing God makes you understand who God is. "Cause I can relate like a lost sheep I am glad when He carries me on His shoulders, going through stormy waters he carries me through...hope you got my drift.

This song was written by Rolf Lovland for himself and performed for the very first time at his mother's funeral.... no boyfriend/girlfriend here. He was inspired by a novel by Brendan Graham (an Irish Novelist and poet/song writer)The whitest Flower...a book about triumph over adversity
