i dont mean to fire shots at anyone or be rude but every other college video just rambled on throwing in their college stories and experiences with it and the items mentioned were just common sense. But this got straight to the point and was extremely helpful!! You mentioned things that people usually forget to bring!!!!!!! I just added like 20 more things to my list lol
i'm in my junior year of high school and just started seriously looking into colleges. Videos like these that are detailed are bringing me so much joy, excitement, and calmness for my future. I started compleining my own list by writing down things i use everyday. If i could add one thing of course now with the pandemic I would add mask and something you didn't mention TOILET PAPER, a lot of colleges allow kids to have their own bathrooms and everyone always seems to forget to bring it.
I use my Keurig to heat water, I find it works just as well and you can make ramen and oatmeal and other things that need hot water just with the Keurig
Im starting my university in Germany and i will live in apartment with 4 other students. The apartment have 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, we will have to share the bathroom, so Buyng shower caddy in 3,2,1
Schulerin Tami wow that will be such an amazing experience!! I have a friend studying abroad in Germany. And yes a shower caddy sounds like a great idea for you
Mattress toppers are not all that necessary in college. I lived in dorms in college and found mattresses to be comfortable. This maybe because I never grew up with one and I find them to be extremely uncomfortable as well. An alternative to a traditional planner is having an app on a tablet/ipad/phone that is a planner. I am a college graduate and use the calendar app on my tablet for various things in terms of planning.
Students should also consider taking a small first aid kit and not just cold/allergy meds but also stuff for upset stomachs, diarrhea, period cramps, a thermometer, aspirin etc. Also some basic tools or a multitool, at least for moving in to put stuff together, even IKEA storage things often require a screwdriver or a hammer.
I doubt you remember my comments on your videos about transferring, but I got accepted into MSU on Tuesday :) I’m sooooo excited aaaaa I can’t believe I’ll be moving in next month
Angela Palazzo college was good. The first week was pretty rough for me because i had such bad separation and social anxiety but i was able to get used to it. Luckily there was a counselor on campus to help just cause my anxiety was pretty bad the first couple days but it got better pretty quickly once i started classes and figuring everything out.
