Ginger and let's not forget Jon, thank you for a great lesson. Love that you share all those little tricks. But most of all that you learn us just to relax and give it a go. So from me over here in Sweden 🇸🇪 a big big thank you
You are hands down the best painting teacher on here. Your daughter too! So thorough. I can listen to you for just a few minutes and learn so much. I know this is an older video but I am making my way through your videos that interest me.
I just repainted this, I did my 1st one 6 months ago, I wanted to see my progress painting with you. This was my 1st painting with you. Sunflowers hold a very special place in my heart, they were my daughter's favorite flower. If I haven't told you, you are a very generous and kind person, it takes a special person to share their knowledge and enjoy teaching others. Thanks to you and Jon very much taking this time to do all these videos, even when you are vacationing. Art hugs to you from CT.
Thank you so much for this lesson. I love watching your lessons, not just for the learning, but it's really entertaining too. I love the stories. Better than tv (if i had tv - we gave up watching tv 13 years ago) Anyway, thank you for the privilege of watching.
Great fun & super helpful as usual. Love your zero tolerance policy for nasty comments, more channels should do it, it would make the internet a much nicer place. Thanks Ginger & Jon.
Thanks, Ginger. I wanted to learn how to paint a clear glass vase but have also learned about painting yellow petals white first! I love it. I was painting yellow over blue background and it turned green, now I know how to keep that from happening! So much to learn. Enjoy your videos, thank you.

Love this example. Am going to work on this today. Hi Jon and Sammy. Hey did I miss something. Where are the new stuffers coming from
I am a colored pencil artist who is learning acrylics. I learned to draw long ago. If I had you teaching me, it might not have taken so long. You make the process as painless as I have seen it. Great video!
You are so amazing in sharing and extending your efforts. Just amazing! You have to be stretched in your patience! Love you and am so glad I became part of your tribe!

Hi. Artist G.Cook, last time I had Learned to use scale, now I am watching 'Sunflower' learned by folding paper , also the colour wheel, like you said about the matching of Purple and yellow, etc. Each and every of your video I am learning something. I have one request, please let me know about Varnish to use after doing Acrylic painting. The name of shiny varnish. Thanks Regards.Zz.
Hi Jon and Ginger! I have a question regarding the Saral paper. I ordered the yellow color and used it for the first time today. I had done a darker background and then used it to trace my pattern. I was disappointed because the yellow had rubbed onto my dark area and not just the pattern that I drew with the pen! Has that happened to you?
Great idea. will do. Thanks so much. Hint for you back. take a bit of paint and put on the back of your paint tubes with the some color so when they are turned over you will know which color it is. I put a bit on the cap too.
Hi Ginger, I want to do this painting, but your background is already done. What colours did you use for this? Phalo and ultramarine and a bit of black?
Ginger could offer to do the brush demonstration for her favorite manufacturer - compensation is required though. Maybe a source for future ad revenue, which you should receive anyways, you advertise for free far too much by demonstrating products that the manufactures do not teach to use. YOU are their best asset.
For example - this video alone has reveived nearly 40,000 views, from a very specific, targeted audience. They cannot ever pay for ads as effective as your demonstrations.
Thank you. I agree. The tub O towels people 2 weeks ago started sending us their product. Which was very nice. Liquitex paid for one add on the watermelon video... but mostly we are out here on our own with a few Amazon affiliate links. LOL

It is such a great and easy trick. Some times you just need a few cross references to line stuff up.
Ginger Cook
Absolutely...thank you so much for you great videos and all the help 😊
I bought brushes at Michaels that included technics of different stroke each brush did. It's not a whole lot but it is a start.
That is great. there should be more of that kind of instruction
I love your Canada story
That grand child is still funny at 12 but I restrict stories to her younger years...
Love your art 💗
muy bello gracias saludos
another great lesson Ginger! sunfloers are my favour flower I will try it. Is there a rule when we use warm colours and when cold colours?
No rule, but its good to decide which colors will be dominant.

Your hand probably was smudging it. You should put a piece of cardboard behind the canvas so you have a stiff surface.
I was using a canvas panel but I think maybe I did get a little heavy handed. Thanks for response Ginger...love your channel
A helpful hint for transfer paper .... use a highlighter to slash a line across the WRONG side :>)
Great idea. will do. Thanks so much. Hint for you back. take a bit of paint and put on the back of your paint tubes with the some color so when they are turned over you will know which color it is. I put a bit on the cap too.
