Allama Iqbal was proud of his Kashmiri past and that too of being a Kashmiri Brahman (Pandit) of the Sapru family. He still has Hindu relatives in the Valley of Kashmir. Mahmud of Ghazni was lucky since while taking on Kashmir he was nearly killed by Samgramaraja of Kashmir and defeated more than once. Ghazni never ventured again near Kashmir though he conquered regions of Iran and the Indian subcontinent. Ghazni was a non-Aryan a Turk and the Kashmiris are Aryans.
