This is why I think the move to Ethan, an untrained civilian, was the best move Capcom could have made for seven and eight. As much as we all love Chris Leon and Jill there's just no believable way you could put them as stars of game anymore at this point in their "careers" where would it just turn into an action game like re6. There's no reason they shouldn't be overly prepared for any situation. They should have so much training at this point that they have all the dodge moves and counter attacks and takedowns to takeaway the scariness of any situation. Ethan feels so much more grounded compared to them. Even when you go back to Chris in Re8 it immediately goes back to an action-oriented style game because quite frankly that's the most realistic scenario for them
That's exactly what I think to. Like Leon, Chris and all the others are so experienced that the game just has to be an action game because it's just too easy for them. Having said that I still prefer 5 and 6 over 7 and 8 because of characters alone. 7 and 8 feels more of a horror game than a re game

precisely, i think they may have tried to hint at this in Village during the part when you play as Chris. Like yeah it’d be cool, but it wouldnt really be survival horror at that point
I disagree, Leon and Jill for example in re3 and 4 are at that point super skilled and both those games whilst more action oriented where still scary and tense at quite a few points, they could easily make games with them scary all they'd have to do is come up with a reason they've lost their weapons and it'd be like a normal re game

Wow! I'm happy to see people still playing this game. It's funny that people hated this game. It's not the best, but I enjoyed it. I have lots of hours on this game, but mostly for Mercenaries. Now, I want to revisit it.

@@imbotlol8411 I guess it wasn't "scary" enough and too action-oriented. It strayed away from true RE. Actually, many felt the franchise when downhill after RE4, but I've enjoyed all of them. They each have their own charms, you know? To each his own.

Ironically, I played these re games backwards. Starting from 6 then 5, then 4 until I finally got re1. It's just the order I found em. Resident evil 6 was the first game I played on xbox as it, and my first 360 was gifted to me.
Helena is my favorite character after Ada. I would love to see her back rather than more characters being introduced.

This game reminded me of Uncharted 2. It was really good and it saddens me to see the hate on it because its not slow and mysterious, instead of fast paced action. RE6 still had some great horror/tense moments imo

Agreed, but one thing that bothered me, she keeps saying it doesn't look like Ada...but yes, yes it does. She only looks and sounds different in the Remakes... This is original Ada.... Literally each time she said "it doesn't look like Ada" I was like... YES IT LITERALLY DOES lol....

This was my 2nd re games, my first is re5, my favourite campaign is leon's, i played this a lot, the problem is that i played with my cousin using cheat and i hope this month or early next month, i get my laptop and i get to play it
This is one of my favorite re games too tbh, It wasn't near any of my first ones (Re4, Re5, Re2, and RE3 came first) but it's definitely up there in my top 10 games.

You stockpiled ammo early in the game and quickly amassed about 100 bullet. As expected of a veteran. Resident Evil 6 will run out of bullets if the player does not rely on martial arts. It was funny that you said "sushi?" twice lol. In Japan, it is called "Biohazard". Off topic, but I like salmon & sea bream & Striped trevally sushi.
Mercier had recently passed away this year. #RIP #LeonKennedy
@Filthy Frank no i think it's Paul Mercier. he's the guy who did Leon in past. this Leon has a different voice actor.
@Filthy Frank ok yeah I looked it up, it was Haddad. I always thought it was it Mercier, but he voiced Leon in RE4. Haddad only voiced Leon in RE2. sometimes I get the two mixed up. who voiced Leon in RE6 then and the Remake of RE2.
@Filthy Frank I figured RE2 remake would have someone younger voice Leon since he was 21 when he graduated from the police academy. which was the youngest ever besides Jill Valentine to complete the training at that age, even for Chris Redfield it took him until age 23 to complete his. he served one year as a Stars member before the outbreak occurred a year after at 25. Jill like Leon was just completing her training when the outbreak began. that's also why he requested to work for RPD, so he can find out about the murders in the Arklay Mountains. the funny thing is Jill is actually the canon playthrough in RE1 even though Chris has a year of experience ahead of her, but like Leon Jill has a natural ability to survive. Weskers original plan was to get Jill killed early, he saw her as a threat even more than Chris. in fact Jill is also the one who encounters the tyrant Nemesis and survives, also uncovers Wesker being behind the setup.
@Filthy Frank I forgot to mention one other thing, Jill also had military training prior to being recruited by Wesker of all people to join S.T.A.R.S, she was an expert at bombs and picking locks. but Wesker didn't know that part about Jill. just that she had some special training. Chief Irons who we all know was secretly working for Neo Umbrella had Wesker hire her without prior knowledge, but it was actually Chris who put a recommendation for her to join. but she herself informed Chris to never tell anyone where she got her training from, because she was the only woman there. it's funny how the games never mentioned much about these characters, even with Leon there isn't much about his life before he became a cop, and yet you find out a bunch of information years later lol. for example Leon never knew his real parents, he was adopted. which is why in the remake of RE2 how it didn't make sense for Claire to only meet Sherry and not Leon, because even Claire and Chris knew there parents but they died. with Leon though, he never knew his lol.

People can also join your game as the monsters so they target you instead of helping you also RE9 is literally called apocalypse even though RE6 felt like it would be world wide because of the Haos but since RE9 is called apocalypse it is most likely going to be a zombie world like how the trash netflix adaptation imagined it but they literally never mentioned anything past RE5

You should probably block 4 & 5 from your memory as well then since they started the whole non scary action packed RE games. Atleast this game had good controls and 7 characters to play as.

@@AsA-rl3zm 4 is great for nostalgia reasons, but it strayed away from the theme of RE games. 5 is just a copy/paste of 4 with an even worse story and the same terrible controls despite the big gap in years apart. 6 is in no way a bad game, people just like to be on the bandwagon of hating it because it's different than the shitty static cam and movement while aiming. Atleast the stories of 6 all connect in some way. 4's conclusion was pretty much "well Leon didn't fix the problem so let's have Chris fix the problem in 5" only for Chris to fail at completely destroying the virus as well considering the uroboros is in RE6 as well.

Also, watching you play is hilarious and relaxing at the same time. Mostly hilarious.
Jake's campaign is pretty intense..but I agree Leon's campaign is the best
@@jamesmcgee1566 Nah, Chris & Piers is by far the best. Chris struggling with PTSD and Piers having to constantly knock some sense into him is great.
I would say Jake and Sherry's is by far the best one. It was a new experience from the other games and the dialogue and gameplay were stellar without the cringe moments and glitchiness of the other two. Leon and Helena's is second as it felt very much like a standard RE story with no real new feature. And Chris and Piers campaign was just horrendously designed in so many ways.

The best part of this game is that they officially established that Leon and Ada loves each other. Leon literally fought Chris to hell just to protect her, that was so fucking sexy during that fight!!!! And then Helena in the end told Leon to go after Ada 😢
We need ANOTHER RE game just about Leon and Ada, and give them a nice closure. And they better fucking end up together. XD

i hated this game so much, I didn't even bother to beat it. was thinking of going back to it. The first 10 minutes just sums up what horrendous job the dev team did. Awful controls, tf is that inventory, unnecessary QTEs and button prompts. Ya no I ain't going back to play this
