Naruto's answer was basically: "idk , I am just hoping for the best" if you think about it. This made Pain to sacrifise his life and bring back everybody
Nagato was weak willed, he even said he never had belief in himself He had a whole plan and came so close to achieving his solution, yet he gave it all to the "I'll see what I gotta do man" teenager, very disappointing
@@Zaytoon-zm2eu He believed he was Jiraiya prophecy child since he saw the book but after naruto came along and didnt change his ways for all the pain he caused him he choose to believe. naruto answer was : im the answer (but still agree with you that its weird that he killed his master and after years of dedication to his ideology he still sacrificed himself for a teenager with no proper answer) in my opinion it would have been better if Naruto started becoming evil with the rinnengan after this point and sasuke the good guy instead of the other way around.
Honestly, couldn’t Nagato just have waited to have enough chakra to revive everyone without dying. I doubt the time limit was that short considering Obito’s attempt later on.
Well, it's not really clear how this Jutsu works tbh. Before I watched this video, I didn't remember Konan saying that with this amount of chakra he wouldn't live. Pretty sure it is stated in the war arc that no matter what, after you use it you die. That is why Obito didn't want to revive Madara right away so that they could team up to defeat the army. But maybe I'm remembering wrong.
This was the point where the story got silly to me. I still enjoyed Naruto but the wheels were definitely wobbling at this point. Jiraiya wanting world peace seemingly came out of nowhere, and Nagato changing his whole ideology based on the flimsy and dumb rhetoric of a 15-year-old is insane. Naruto didn't even say anything remotely relevant because...well he is 15. This was dumb when I first read it and is still dumb now and then all I got out it was Nagato went Ah I remember when I was full of hope but even so that doesn't erase the experiences he had and that would not heal his "pain" The hidden leaf still killed his parents Danzo still corroborated with Hanzo to kill Yahiko. Even if you could let that go you sure as shit wouldn't bring all the people he killed. One of the worst things in is universe The Hidden Leaf does all this dubious shit and people just go ooops that was Danzo tee-hee so we share no blame.
Not so silly if you look into the origin of "pain". The ultimate goal for Nagato is world peace essentially because after what he went through, he's aware that understanding of others' pain is unachievable had others not experience the pain; if others have experienced the same "pain", new pain will born out of the eager for vengeance, and the cycle continues. What ultimately defeated pain is when Nagato saw the decision Naruto made. After Naruto heard pain's backstories and experiencing the pain of losing his important and loved ones, he still chooses to break the cycle of vengeance. The quote from the book and such is rhetoric ingredients in writing that I agree, but the ideology of peace the anime is trying to convey here makes a lot of sense and did a great job of doing so imo. Although I completely agree with you that Danzo being the ultimate blame-taking character is a bit lame, it's an anime for teenagers, and it's just an easier way to get other protagonists to come clean and for kids to understand.
@@canary959 Maybe that's true but that doesn't make the Hidden Leaf less any complicit, they participated in using his home as a battleground, killed his parents, and Danzo, an agent of the Leaf (Hiruzen was a trash Hokage) conspired to kill them for messing with the status quo. I still enjoy Naruto but Kishimoto's writing isn't nuanced enough to write something as philosophical as world peace in a feudal Ninja society where their economy relies on the deaths of others.
@@Kizpact Exactly, and the writing doesn't even have to be that nuanced because Naruto literally got an answer from Minato a couple chapters/episodes back that could both build upon stuff from as far back as the Land of Waves and still fit the theme of "perseverance." Naruto could just tell Nagato that he would eliminate the system of shinobi/shinobi culture Minato talked about, so they don't have, as you said, an economy that relies on death and them being mercenaries. That could then be built on as we watch Naruto work towards achieving that, looking at different ways he could go about stopping it.
@@Kizpact Nagato understood that the Hidden Leaf was not to blame he didnt hate Jiraiya nor Shinobi for being a part of the cycle of hatred. he wanted to get rid of the system as a whole thats the whole point of this fight they were seeking for a better world in a ninja society. Besides the economy does not rely on shinobi, shinobi only make up a small percentage of the world population in naruto. (also Hiruzen was one of the most successful Hokage leading the village in peace for longer than any other leader, he also destroyed orochimaru threat to the village and helped sasuke defeat him with his jutsu)
The moment when Nagato decided to help Naruto and believe in hope again, "Pain" was defeated. Can't wait for the next ep.
I agree with you here my friend have nice day ❤

I always thought, what happened with all the people that were crushed, after getting the souls back, they're still crushed under all that rubble

Lez go kage summit arc
Easily the worst Talk no Jutsu in the entire series (besides Obito or Sasuke)
Nagito realized he became the thing he was fighting against when Naruto brought out the book
