(4:37) Are all the departments in and around Denver working 48-hour shifts? How many days do you get off between the two-day shifts? I like the video and I am somewhat jealous of the cot loading and unloading equipment! I wish we had them back in the day.
West Metro works a 48/96 shift- 48 hours on, 96 hours (four days) off. There are some other agencies with the same shift. Others- like Denver- have Kelly days.
@@WestMetroFire But do their Kelly-Days give them the entire 48 hours off or does Denver Fire work 24/48s? Kelly-Days work great with a 24/48 schedule.
Amazing equipment

One important thing I didn't see is new teddy bears for the injured kids. :-)
Yes, trauma teddies! (Or the ones made by a local volunteer group that actually looked possessed-we called them "scare bears").

Rachel it is called a stretcher NOT a pram!
Actually, Maddie, the terms are interchangeable. And in this region, it's called a pram.
I did no know that. That's okay.
Proper term is stretcher.
@@faithingod9554 Hi: in this region, it's called a pram.
Actually, in some agencies it is just called “the wheels”
