It's awesome to see old school psytrance being enjoyed so much, Hallucinogen's music aged really well. It still sounds crazy futuristic today.
I met Simon as Symbiosis 2013 in California and told him he should make more Hallucinogen tracks, but he really didn't seem into the idea. It's probably kind of hard to pick up a project that's 20 years old now and start making new stuff, I suppose.
I think people, at least in the UK, generally moved from goa and melodic/trippy/full-on psy to progressive, and sort of lost touch with it. There is potentially a second wave coming though, with Logic Bomb, Hux Flux etc. touring, and amazing Japanese full-on artists spreading. Also, Simon Posford and Raja Ram have been very busy with their sixth Shpongle album. Let us hope for something from Hallucinogen soon!

I agree it has aged real well.. in some ways i find it more psychedelic than most psy of today. LSD is a truly other worldly track

I think he did everything creatively with trance that he wanted to do. Twisted was the all defining trance album that cannot be topped. No point taking it further or you tend to regurgitate + it gets boring.
regurgitated and boring.. sounds like the last 3 shpongle albums
@mxq88 they only planned to do first three, fans wanted more, more were made, but I think yesz not as good albums came out at the end. A lot of shpongle fans coming in late don't really know about Hallucinogen, Younger Brother, Hallucinogen in dub, a lot of really great music!!

So sad... At least some of us can appreciate this absolute masterpiece of a song! LSD, Shamanix, and Alpha Centaury are my favourites from the Twisted album. The whole album is one bug success though!!!!
