Kucoin doesn't do KYC unless you try to link a bank account and prove your identity. If you want to use kucoin, first get some crypto from another exchange like coinbase for example. Buy X amount of coins, and then send them from coin base to kucoin. Then you can start trading. If you really want to be careful, you can get a VPN that has a designated ip address outside of the US, and only log in to kucoin while using the VPN so they don't see you are in the US. But you really don't need to. If you are going to buy 10k in coins and trade on kucoin then I definitely would.
Buy some low transaction fee coin like XLM or TRX in Coinbase, then send THOSE coins to Kucoin. It cost me 0.00001 XLM send my Coinbase bought XLM to Kucoin. Hahahahahahahaa! Then I traded them for USDT. With USDT you can buy any coin on Kucoin.

At 12:30 in… You say if your local fiat currency is not supported then you will probably want to use US Dollars. Which we in the US will need to and we want to. But you do not say how or or the best way or which fees would apply. Can you please go into further depth on that. We are in the lurch here and not getting how to get in with lower fees than 1.5% anywhere just buying in. PayPal 1.5% if over $1,000. Seems like the same elsewhere. How just to buy in to a great exchange and pay less buy-in fees? Hopefully with an also less than exit out or cold storage wallet out. ???
