Pregnant and lactating cats need the high calorie kitten food. I rescue cats and now I have 5 who have all been spayed and neutered. She looks like a young cat most likely her first litter.

I literally have like THE WORST allergies to cats like my eyes swell so bad that the whites of my eyes will swell but if I see one I just cannot help myself.

1:55 that "thing" she's doing is called kneading. It's generally a good sign that she trusts you and finds you comforting, the reason why they do this is because that's what kittens do to get milk from their mother

I'm hella allergic to cats. My throat sometimes clogs up, but only when I stick my face in their fur. I can do cuddles and pets as long as I wash my hands afterwards. If I don't wash my hands my eyes swell and become red and itchy, my nose turns into a faucet, and my lips get itchy. Kitty litter worsens my asthma, too. I have 2 cats. Allergies can't stop me!
Not to mention there are cats that are hypoallergenic

Definitely start feeding her kitten food! Kitten food has the extra fat she’ll need to support herself and kittens otherwise she’ll get very skinny and weak (having had litters myself). She could be fussy about the biscuits getting soggy when you mix so I would go with what you were thinking and offer them both but in separate bowls. Also some specific cat milk also helps keep her nice and plump and fat for when she starts nursing her babies! But must be for cats not alternative or cows milk...I’m sure you already know all this or won’t see this comment but it might help someone who knows? Stay safe everyone! 💕

okay so i have had cats for my whole life and a tip for the food is to give her a bit of wet food in the morning and in the night and always let her be able to have some dry food through out the day! Always let her be able to have some fresh water with the dry food! like this so he notices!!

Solarflower my cat is really picky and we buy this wet food that is almost like a jelly meat and we feed her normally about 2 spoons in the morning and another 2 spoons in the evening. Some cats could be different and you might think that’s not a lot but she doesn’t even eat all of it and likes to come back throughout the day and eat the rest but she still doesn’t eat all of it. If your cat eats it all make sure she has some dry food as well because they can’t tell you how hungry they are especially if your cat is an outdoors cat!

That motion she does with her paws, the “scratching” motion is something cats do called kneading. It’s a comfort thing they do on soft materials. It starts when their kittens when feeding on mum to produce milk but often kittens continue doing the motion when there adults. I find it really cute when my cat does this. Hope the info was helpful 😊

Every time your cat mewed my cat looked around concerned,
Maybe only feed her wet food if that is all she eats. Wet food is so beneficial for cats because it contains liquid which makes a cats coat healthy and softer. It can also be helpful with the amount of liquid she consumes, my cats don't drink a lot of water so I stick with wet food to ensure that they stay hydrated. Also with her being pregnant having her staying hydrated with be good for the kittens, a healthy mama means healthy babies 💜
Yes it’s extremely important (especially for outdoor cats) to stay hydrated. Outdoor cats get most of their water from the prey they kill/eat. My cat died this winter (we just moved and it was his first winter in the snow) because he was dehydrated and couldn’t find prey. He was all happy on Christmas playing in all the boxes and things. And the next day he couldn’t move. He died on New Year’s Eve which was my b-day! Sorry 😅

It’s actually a sign of trust, but if a cat stares at you with open eyes it is alert and doesn’t trust you. You can search this up if you want proof, as it’s true.

She looks sooooooooooooo much like my cat she was found in a shed with no sign of a mom around her she had like 6 siblings and when we got her right after we adopted her all her siblings were bought my parents almost gave her away till I cried to keep her im blessed to this day and VERY lucky I just want to tell everyone that has a pet to be nice and be super great full cus you have no idea what could have happened to them before you bought them in less u got a pregnant cat and they gave birth or got a cat and then they got pregnant but please be kind so they have a wonderful life with you/there new family and all they will need is kindness and they will return it to you I also have a dog and he’s 5 years old my cat is 3 she is sooooooooooooo cute be great full for everything you get in life stay healthy and stay safe and stay 6-10 feet away we can get tho this together peace ☮️

What I say to myself when I look in the mirror 😂😂😂
I would just give her some wet food twice a day and leave some dry out for her. Measure it tho - don't let her pig out all day. She does need some GOOD food though. Make sure the first ingredient is meat. And it should have NO grain or very, very little grain in it. Leave water out for her. Make her a nest for her to have her babies in - A nice size box with towels that you can change out every day - lost of them so it's soft. Thank you so much for doing this - she is so beautiful and such a sweet baby!
PS: I like Purina One dry food with the moist little pieces. My two babies love it. Can food can be a problem. There is a lot of crappy food out there. Be sure to read ingredients. Also - get yourself one of the automated cat boxes. They're awesome.

When a cat is happy, they will "knead" the thing in front of them as a sign of comfort.
1.Cat normally “kneed” when they are happy comfortable 2. After the kittens are born I would recommend trying to give her more dry food but don’t give her the wet food at all and she will just eat it 3. If you want to be with her when the kitties are born you might want to start sleeping there :) hope these tips help!!!!!!

Leaving a bowl of dry food and water 24/7 is a good idea and you should feed her wet food 2-3 times a day. Make sure you have specifically kitten food on hand when they're born

kitten lady only fosters young, vulnerable kittens. Since the mom cat is there, they won’t need to know her tricks. The mom takes care of the babies
@@katatory It doesn't hurt to at least know the knowledge just in the case the mama doesn't know what to do (which can happen). Also if mama is playing favorites and one kitten may be left behind, they would know different ways to feed that kitten so it can catch up.

I have a pregnant cat too right now! She’s not super picky, but something that she will eat and a way I get dry food in, is 1 tbsp pumpkin (pure) 1 fish oil tablet pierced & poured over food, tbs coconut oil, tuna or canned cat food, and then dry food! Try it!

No, when cats claim territory they spray it with their scent. They knead in order to make a certain spot they want to sleep in softer and more comfortable. They can also knead to show affection to their owners.

With my cat, I do 1/4 cup of limited ingredient diet, Duck and green pea dry food in the morning so she can eat the rest during the day and then a can of either Tiki Cat (3 ounce can) or 1/3 can of Limited Ingredient Diet: Duck and green pea (because that one is 5.5 ounces). It also all depends on her diet. My cats allergic to chicken, so she mostly likes novel proteins or seafood. I only give her seafood every other day and only at night.
