Interesting fact...this was part of 3 singles that were released for a new album, but at the last minute that album got scrapped and they wrote a completely new album without the singles listed. I'm glad this exists though. Hell of a song.

Glad you all dug the song! The guitarist in that band is unreal. His name is Marc Okubo and he is a master at making the guitar sound like a sound affect machine. Just a little info for you guys since you were talking about it in the video. The “screech” sound you hear are called pinch harmonics. In the metal world, some of the nicknames they use for some of the other sounds you hear are called “fire trucks” because they sound like a siren. And “bendy boys” that is kind of a swell that starts high and goes lower in sound. Anyway, thanks for reacting, and I will make sure to request some more Veil of Maya in the future!
@@nmularoni1 well they put out a statement 3 months about an indefinite hiatus. It doesn't seem like they will be back together any time soon. The guitarist is currently with Falling in Reverse

Sadly, we may not see Veil Of Maya ever again as they announced a hiatus earlier this year, canceling all current future plans with no word on a return that ive seen yet personally😢
