When Forsberg did this a few years ago with some beer leaguers in Sweden, they said that after a bit they realized it was him due to the way he skated and stickhandled and it gave him away. We always remember!
The skill level and obvious love of the game blew me away when I saw the mascots all take off their heads then, as pros, skate circles around little kids, but do it in the EXACT perfect way such that the kids were amazed to see the skills, but still got to actually play the game. Seemed like the kids loved it
guaranteed you could find 5 people in downtown montreal who know nothing about hockey and put together the exact same video. my point is you can't judge a whole fan base off a couple people walking around on their damn lunch break
@@NashPredators35 As somebody who lives in Montreal, Shea Weber simply couldn't do that in public. Of course there are some people who know nothing about hockey, but the thing is that Shea would get rushed by 20 people which would ruin the prank. Furthermore, no Canadien player lives in Montreal, they all live in suburb by the name of Brossard. It's better for them!
Watching the Russian players surprise their fans really shows how how the Russian people are no different then ourselves. Some people seem to forget that in these times, given the leader they currently have. I feel terrible for all the innocent lives being ruined by the current situation, in both Ukraine and Russia
This is fun. Thing is, I would only recognize a few famous people if I met them in the street. And these guys are wearing helmets, gear, etc. So they'd be difficult to pick out when in street clothes.
I understand that these guys are pros and are obviously way more comfortable with their own kit, but if they're going undercover shouldn't they just use rental skates and a budget stick?
Its kinda of funny seeing the reaction and almost nonchalant reaction from kids in the North America towards their sports heroes, compared to European kids and big name soccer players.. _ there seems to be such an open emotional LOVE toward the soccer (football) fans and players.
it’s also not our most popular sport, in fact out of the major US sports it’s like #4. people will go to the games and support the city but there are few die hard hockey fans that know all the players and what they look like without a helmet on
“Hey buddy, you lookin at your picture again? It looks much better than you” “Hi i’m Shea Weber, but today, i’m thomas jefferson” “Who is that, Jonathan Toes? “Sharkie, picture? Sharkie I want a picture! SHARKIE, PICTURE.” *tries to get away “no don’t go away i love you man”
Josi and Weber weren't even undercover really, Preds fans barely recognized them... "Pekka Rinne, is he all the way in the back to the right?" No, he's the one in middle wearing a goalie mask. lmao yikes...
I really enjoy the ones when they have kids around, it means so much to the kids to meet their heroes :)
Love how at 4:18 Weber says “kinda like Josi eh” then he points right at Josi and the kids still don’t pick up on it😂
if you watch just another few minutes you see the bonus clips and the kids knew who the two guys were before they even started
@@TheMCricket yeah I never even looked until now you’re right, kids didn’t even flinch for a second they knew exactly who they were😂
You're not Jeff, your Shea.... You're Roman Josi... Lol that Kid was cool
that kid knew his shit for sure
You can’t fool the kids. Kids know their players.
If my boyhood heroes like Joe Sakic and Peter Forsberg did this, I would have passed out.
When Forsberg did this a few years ago with some beer leaguers in Sweden, they said that after a bit they realized it was him due to the way he skated and stickhandled and it gave him away. We always remember!
Jonathan "Toes" was hilarious

I knew that was Ovi as soon as I seen yellow laces lol
Come on, Roslovic! Show em your actual slap shot! The best part of these is always the reveal!
Now if Webber ever tries this in downtown Montreal he would get rushed by hundreds of habs fans lol
Faxx

He lives in my city, just like Price, Perry and all, they don’t just walk around lol.
4:15 webby even points right to josi while saying his name and the kids have no idea lol
Would have loved to be at the mascot clip...Ovie and Gino on the ice coming out of those costumes---awesome!
These are great!
Marcus Foligno, I hope you stay with the Wild your entire career. Thanks for the leadership!
3:36 the look on Weber’s face
When he roasted Roman

These vids are funny
11:30 this Moment Must have had so much hype
Ain’t got a clue about ice hockey but i like this its fun to watch
They should have professional players watch and talk about squirt games
All those Swiss players!
Weber is the gold standard at defense. He's been retired for 3 seasons and his salary still ranks second or third.
He was so good
This is hilarious
12:45 coke jaw
Rick Nash .... Well youre out the convo
Grew up in Eden Prairie. The place sure has grown from when I lived there! Go Eagles!
4:38 *_A D M I R A L S!_*
Poor Josi getting absolutely no love from any nashville fans but that pretty much sums up their fanbase.
Well now he’s probably their favourite now that he’s won a Norris and is one of best defensemen in the league or at least that’s my opinion
Gotta love the Planes

I wish they did a reveal for the first prank!
How do you see those yellow laces and not know its ovi right away
Do the players or someone else usually skate for the mascots or is this a one off
Usually someone else
The worst player on the team has to wear the mascot every game. NHL official rules.
@@mrkingjesse378 😂 imagine
Proof hockey pros are very humble and the best of all pro athletes

I wanna make the nhl, not to play but to go undercover and bully little kids
Love the boom mic guy pushing the kid out

NHL players are always undercover because they're NHL players. That's why they can lead normal lives upon retirement.
Not in Canada.
I wonder....
“Hey buddy, you lookin at your picture again? It looks much better than you”
“Hi i’m Shea Weber, but today, i’m thomas jefferson”
“Who is that, Jonathan Toes?

That's Johnny Toews. (Pronounced Tayz) He won THREE STANLEY CUPS.
My cousin
Going undercover...
Josi almost as tall as Weber?
Ay Amirlz
Joe Burrow just confirmed that he’s unfortunately out for the rest of 2020 😞

Russian women are so gorgeous 🤦🏽
No offense, but, do hockey players need to go 'undercover'?
Don’t really know what he is hahahaha
