I really respect Highlight, not because they are an old group, but because of how strongly they stuck together during hard times. They went through so much and they are still able to stand up again on their feet. From a member leaving to having their trademark Beast being taken away from them by Cube and Cube planning to create a new 'Beast.' Through it all, all they have shown on their faces are nothing but smiles. They work hard for us fans. They even made their own company and are promoting themselves. Imagine having to step away from everything you've known for years and start all over again. I myself wouldn't have fought this fight because as a passionate musician, music isn't just a career, it's something you've known most of your life as a best friend.
Cube tried to create a new Beast? Like seriously, using the same name?! That's just rude. I simply thought they left the company due to some other issue

yeah they left the company. so far, the reason known publicly was simply because their contract ended, and then they wanted to leave together and form their own company to have more creative freedom. i suspect there's more to the story. but that's what we get in their public statement. recently they said they had no hard feeling with cube since they respect them for "creating" beast. i think that's mostly said out of respect, and because they wanted no more bad news. when highlight was still 'fighting' to get a right to their name (beast), cube suddenly announced they wanted to recreate beast with hyunseung and 3 new members. highlight stated they knew nothing about this plan since they were still negotiating about the name. similarly, hyunseung said it was basically some bs cube came up with, and that he didn't know about the plan, and wouldn't agree to do it had he known. next thing we know, the guys decided to just end the negotiation to just avoid wasting time and energy. so they came up with Highlight. so yea, although I wanted to believe doojoon when he said they had no hard feeling with cube, i still think there's more to the story. but, i think what they said publicly was a wise decision on their part. what's important is they are now happy. :D
