was that 2 miles? im assuming you set it up in imperial nvm i just read the desc. lol also i wanted to fly out there yesterday but decided for a differnt spot thats in tomorrows video. and i regret my descion to fly where i did for the time of day i did, only got one flight before it got to crowded to fly also im sure the powerlines and vlos towards that bluff are the reason why you your signal when down. im sure if you had a higher vantage point with how long this flight was you could make it 3 maybe even 5 miles
Yeah like you say, 2 miles. I’ve done similar before and it sucks, sorry you didn’t get to fly more. Definitely some line of sight issues among other things. One thing that is definitely different with fixed wing over quads is the VTX antenna placement. On an FPV quad it’s at the back, in the clear but on my plane, it’s sort of near the top sticking straight up so the entire plane is in the way of the antenna. I’m thinking of splitting it to 2 individual antennas and having them stick out the sides a bit. I’ve flown a quad further from the same spot with no issues at all.
Amazing flight!! Love the freestyle in the flight as well!!
Heck yeah

Are your engines spinning inward or outward?
@@Panda-id8me I have mine spinning outward. Out of curiosity why do you ask?
@smithe68 I thought the engines were supposed to rotate inwards. Airplanes usually do.
