Hi @Leila Gharani, is there a why to keep Excel from trying to Spill, if I don't want or intend it to Spill into adjacent cells. I think this is another Case of Microsoft "trying" to be helpful and innovative but it's just causing unintended issues.

I used the =SEQUENCE(COUNTA(C:C)-1) and it work fine and I did not start on the top row or the first colum. After having about 10 entries per row it still works fine. then I selected the data and made it into a table and the dynamic numbering all of the cells turn into the error #spill!. I deleted all of the entries in colum C except for the first one then I get a 1 for all of the cells that were giving me befor a #spill! error. then I entered data for one cell after the first cell and I get a #spill! error again for all of the 10 rors again even though their is no data enter into those other cells. I would really appreciate a response from some one on this. thanks by the way your videos have helped me expound my knowledge of excell drastically. thank you for the time you dedicate to your channel.
Highlight the spill range or highlight the entire column if has no useful content and type Alt,E,,A A and press Enter. That removes everything and normally solves the spill error problem.
Hi @Leila Gharani, thank you for another excellent video. Is there a way to "trap" for #SPILL? If we had say IFSPILL function, then we could use ARRAYTOTEXT to convert the many rows returned into just one string and overcome the limitation of using dynamic arrays in tables. In my case, by the way, I am using Filter() to find a list of possible posting matches (Category, Product, Region etc.,) based on previous assignments and sometimes more than one options exists, in which case I get a #SPILL error where what I really want to do is trap for this and then just convert the dynamic array to show something like [ Dog/Pet/UK] [Cat/Pet/US] [Banana/Food/Global]...anyway, thank you again for the fantastic tips and insights.
