I was disappointed when it wasn’t university. BUT, it’s grown on me learning about it and now I’m super excited. This world looks beautiful! Mermaids 🧜🏻♀️ and dolphins 🐬

I love the beach clean up and was not expecting it but I think it’s good thing because it is a real problem in real life with trash on the beach.
I mean this in the nicest way possible, but whenever I can’t sleep- I just watch one of your videos bc your buildings and voice is so relaxing. My favorite Sims channel for sure. ❤️

This build is so cute!!! I'm so freaking excited for this pack, I can't even express it properly!! Although I'm not a huge fan of beaches and summery weather myself, this world might just end up being my new favorite world in the whole of the Sims 4!

I think it's green because of the sulfur. Like vulcanic rocks usually have green parts from the sulfur in the vulcano. 😊
That might be the case, it looks really over done to me. I was hoping for steam and maybe pillow lava... but that's probably a stretch lol 💜

I love this shack! The landscaping you did around it is fantastic. And oh man, I'm loving all these new items. I'm already brainstorming combinations with other packs. The new foundations also are a game changer for terrain play. It'll make builds look a lot cleaner.
But yeah. University is pretty much a big request. If EA doesn't bring that in at some point, a lot of people will be mad. However, I'm not mad at this expansion. It will bring a lot of cool new things, though yeah, it's funny that we got boats before cars. I kind of wish they would at least add bikes? I can see bikes being a thing for a University Expansion. It's hard to think of how cars would be incorporated into the existing worlds though, even though it would be nice to build a standard house with garage in game. I'm with you about how they can function-I don't care to drive them around, but if they could treat it like they did in Sims 2, that would be great.

This was so cute, and I'm excited about the pack. I know that this is a residential world and not a vacation world, but I really would have liked to run resorts/hotels.

I know what you mean I did enjoy that aspect in the sims 3. However I think the sims have focused on different aspects and have overall produced a better pack, and hotels were so glitchy in Island Paradise.

I'm in love with this new pack! And this house is so cute. I'm excited for toddlers to have more activities, I think that's something they desperately need. Maybe one day they'll update babies and elders, too.

Definitely wasn't expecting a volcano or mermaids with a island paradise pack, but I've never been more excited. Truly seems like with every pack that is coming out lately, the team just gets better and better. Though I would have loved to get an activity to be able to surf (maybe in a later/other tropical pack), but it isn't something that I need. I'm really excited to get my hands on this pack for sure.

I think the water is a different color because it's shallower than the rest of the water, it's hotter because of the lava flowing into it, and it's probably highly acidic because of the gases that form from the volcano. That water is also full of microbes that thrive in heat, causing the color changes. If you look at hot springs in Yellowstone, it's the same thing.
I think the way it is done looks more like a chemical spill 💜

I am so excited for this pack. Hammocks would have been a nice addition. I love that they added sand castles but if would have been really nice to have gotten a sand box for the kids/toddlers. I would still love cars but I understand that it may be difficult to animate but even if we could get them like how they were in the sims 2 that would be better than nothing. I really loved cars in the sims 3 but I know that we don't have open worlds like the previous game. Gorgeous Build as always!

I'm so excited for this pack, because honestly I love having my sims do the things I'm afraid or feel too self conscious to do like go to the beach or swim with dolphins or even things like public speaking (protesting, politicians etc)
Normally I'm not an occult fan but I love love love mermaids and cannot wait to have them in the game!
Overall I'm super hyped about this pack, it seems like a long time coming with a lot of teasing within base game updates over the past year or so.

Around a month or so ago I saw a leaked photo of this pack on SimsVIP, and they weren’t certain if it was fake or not. I’m SO glad it’s real!! I’ve been waiting for a pack like this from the beginning, so excited it’s finally happening! I’m really impressed so far with all of the new features, which is something I haven’t been able to say about a Sims 4 pack in awhile. I’ve already preordered, and I’m counting down the days until June 20th! Can’t wait to see all of the amazing things you come up with in your builds! Loving all the build/buy mode stuff included in the pack that I’ve seen so far! 😊

I honestly wasn't interested in mermaids but this looks awesome. I'm very excited to play with them now. Like this EP is more than I expected and then some. I really wanted university but this will definitely tide me over for now lol.

The only situation in which I would ever feel like cars are justified in the game (for me personally) is if they completely overhauled the travelling system. So for example if your sim didn't own a car they would have to carpool or take a taxi and it'd take 15 sim-minutes extra. Or if you travelled to another world they would deduct like 20 simoleons per travel or you'd have to wait for a cab (though idk how they'd do that with the pressing M to view the map kind of deal). but then if you DID own a car, traveling would be instant, but with added bonuses like animations that allows your sim to drive off their lot and away from the area (again, how would they do that with inaccessible lots. I dont know!) + it'd give benefits like woohoo spots, responsibility for teens, free / reduced travel costs depending on how expensive your car was, maybe even joining... idk??? car.... show... contest?? things????? CARS! anyway
Unless they do something similar to that I really don't care much at all for cars in my game, I'm happy with my CC unlocked cars from Strangerville that just sit pretty in their driveway :P
(btw this is not at all what I think EA SHOULD do exactly, but merely something I'd like to see if they ever did it in the first place, but I'd love to hear what others think would be a nice traveling/car system ^^ )

I am super stocked for this pack. I just saw TheSimSupply's video on this and I've seen the sliding doors and I was like "Ok, the second the pack's out, I'm gonna buy it!" I really liked the stuff from Jungle Adventure, as it was so bright, yet somehow modern and this pack is a million times better :D I love the new windows, doors, the kitchen (finally a new and also modern kitchen), the plants and the soft fabric on everything is amazing! And that's just the building part. Swimming in the ocean, mermaids, dolphins and actually being able to live on islands...I'm having a heart attack because of the excitement! Also that there'll be the big update with all the new swatches (like finally the plain white door, we've all been waiting for) and I've seen the LGBTQ+ flag and I could go on and on and on xD It really feels like the Sims devs actually listened to the community and gave us what we wanted! I hope they keep on doing it and give us such great content :D
Totes stoked that we are getting boats before cars. Chilling on boats is awesome and unique, and I don't care about cars in game because I like to imagine that my Sims live in a world with plentiful flawless public transportation. (The Dream) I also understand that lots of other people have strong attachments and find lots of enjoyment and meaning out of vehicles, so they would probably still be fun in game.

I agree. With this pack not being a vacation world my sims have to live there to experience the island. But I dont want all of my sims to live in an island so vacation houses would be amazing. It is annoying that we can only have one house. I think I found a solution to it though. I didnt try it yet but I assume it would work. If you have Get to Work, Cats and Dogs or Dine Out, you can place a nice tropical house on the island but instead of choosing the residential lot type you can choose restaurant/retail shop/vet and make your sims buy it. And you go there with the whole family but not open the shop and your sims can live there for a few days like a vacation house.

Love your builds and so excited for this pack! In my opinion, I do like playing with occult households, but I also prefer realistic gameplay. So, I kinda mix the two and make it so that there are aliens, vampires, etc in the world but they're kept hush-hush and its frowned upon to be associated with them, or some people still debate if they're real or not. That way it feels realistic (to me at least), and I'm able to play with them. Because I like to play sims to its full extent and not skip on anything, ya know?

I was hoping for some all glass walls to use for underwater builds. Sure you could use windows, but all glass walls would be more streamlined. I also was hoping for some items to build an aquarium for sea life conservation. I hope they come out with some more sea life like sea turtles, crabs, starfish, eels, orcas, sharks, etc. That would be awesome. I wish there was surfing, as well. Even so, I am very excited for this pack and for mermaids.
