  • In this video we take a walkaround tour of the 2023 Chevrolet Suburban Premier with the Duramax Diesel in Empire State Beige Metallic. The Suburban is in it's third model year however Google integration was added for 2022. The Tahoe and Suburban remain very popular but let me know down in the comments below what you think of it?

I am picking up a non-diesel 2023 Chevy Suburban Premier with about $9k in amenities to include Heads-up Display color 15 inch. 22 inch rims and 4 wheel drive with magnetic ride controls. Black exterior and Black Interior. Financing 87K with no money down and payments at $1320 for 72 months. Thanks for the video. I got it at MSRP also.

Congrats! Sounds like a nice spec although Black exterior isn't for me.

First - This is a very well-done video - good job and Thank You. I really like the maple-interior vs all-black. I have been driving Suburbans since 1982 and there are some downsides - but you just can't beat the utility. We're looking to buy our next Suburban now - but we were hoping the SuperCruise would be available soon. We now use our Suburban for extended trips (so a lot of highway travel) and SuperCruise would be a nice feature.

Thanks Jeff! I did see the Super Cruise package was available to order after I posted this video. I am not sure if it is still available or if there are constraints. It appears that it is only available with the 3.0 Diesel or the 6.2 V8 engines.

@@CarsMadeSimple Ah! i didn't know that. Thanks for that bit of info. I'm interested/open to the Diesel engine - but really don't want/need the big gas engine. Maybe I'll just get the 5.3L without SuperCruise now and see what's available in 2-3 years.

You can always option adaptive cruise control if you would like on RST, Premier, or High Country trims. That is a good mix of safety systems while not having to pay the premium for Super Cruise if you want to wait.

The "Little Cubby" to the right of the infotainment screen is for your registration and insurance cards - you will never have to dig through the debris in the glove compartment every six months searching for your insurance card.

I do like it I would love to have one that would be my 4th suburban my first was a 94 with 3 rows of bench seats very capable of 9 adults my 3rd is the one I currently have a 2007 it has been a good truck but the 5.3 in it is a bit under powered and that engine has had problems with the variable lifters and the oil pump my 94 with the old 350 was more powerful I would like to try the diesel for towing our boat and utility trailers

Powered Cooler, Charger, Small Appliance (if tailgating), etc.

I wish GM would put the 6.6L V8 Duramax engine in the Suburbans and bring back the 2500 Suburban platform for families to ride comfortably while towing a camping trailer without the Suburban struggling to go up or down hills. A 2500HD platform Suburban with a 6.6L Duramax engine would sell like hotcakes, people want a platform that can handle everything a family can throw at it while riding in ludicrous comfort and towing at the same time. GM is missing an obvious open opportunity here on making a popular platform that would be really popular to their consumers while making them more money then they would know what to do with. There is a reason why a select few fabrication automotive companies and shops throughout the country are taking older 2500 Suburbans and putting the 6.6L Duramax and Allison transmissions in them and people spend the money to do it because it turns these vehicles into a solid Suburban family hauler that can haul anything with the family inside across the country.

What kinda idiot would buy a guzzling pig in this day and age? Can’t imagine the depreciation on these things in the next few years as the new tech ev trucks take over.
My buddy is a car trader and he says dealers are dumping more and more of these new boats at auction as they can’t move them off their lots. Not good
